Covid

Active cases falling.

Looking at the worldometer website it appears that for several days the number of active cases ( total cases minus deaths and recoveries) has been falling.

I am beginning to wonder that if (worldwide) cases are resolving quicker than they are occurring are we heading for a spring/summer time lull in cases. Similar to swine flu in 2009 allowing time for a vaccine to be developed for winter?

I don't think it means the virus will disappear ever now but I do think worldwide this particular outbreak may be peaking. ( note I say worldwide I still think individual countries including the UK are yet to reach their peak)

I hope you're right OP. I fear China may be dissembling, and also that responses are so woolly and people so liable to stick their heads in the sand that it's impossible to predict how it's going. But it is possible that it's going to decline rather than increase, as I understand it, so let's hope that's the case.
