Since Hamas believed they could conquer Israel, it makes it more important that Hamas disarm and go with a new leadership that isn't Hamas to move towards peace.

Who knows. There are many wrongs. It looks currently impossible for peace, especially with Iranian proxies attacking various countries in the Iran/USA conflict.
Saudi targetted again by The Houthis. The Yemanese government are attempting to deal with The Houthis. The Lebanese government are attempting to deal with Hezbollah.
So many conflicts, so many victims.
