For anyone interested in the peace deal - 14 points of the agreement between Iran and the U.S

Key points of the deal include:

• Both sides agreed to "the immediate and permanent end to military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon."
• Iran can begin exporting oil as soon as the MOU is signed.
• Iran "will make arrangements using its best efforts for the safe passage of commercial vessels with no charge for 60 days only from the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman and vice versa."
• The U.S. and regional partners will develop a reconstruction plan for Iran worth at least $300 billion.
• Iran affirms that it "shall not procure or develop nuclear weapons."
• The two sides "have agreed to resolve the disposition of stockpiled enriched material."
• U.S. sanctions on Iran will be lifted on schedule as a part of a final deal, linked to nuclear compliance.
• There will be 60 days to sign a final agreement, which the two sides can agree to extend.

Trump has his usual way of commenting at the end "If it doesn't get done in 60 days, that's all right. We go back to bombing," President Trump said at the G7 in France Wednesday. "I don't want to do that, because it's so good, but we might have to, because we're never going to let them have a nuclear weapon." He doesn't help matters at all.

Well it does appear to be a major US capitulation on the face of it. Hegseth, the SOS for war, seems to have disappeared! Some of us did point out what an utterly stupid and appalling idea the US/Israeli war was from the start on 28th February and also how Iran had more power than many realised wrt the SOH and the potential implications.

However, the Israelis, as usual, are intent on continuing their violence and breaking up any hope of an agreement. Ben Gvir is now making obviously genocidal comments on social media wrt Lebanon, having already committed the same in Gaza. Of course, some will still continue to deny this and excuse the Israelis.

Ben Gvir is Israels national security minister, not some random psychopath. The way you answered that post with what do you think Israel should do almost makes it sound like you think that Israel's National Security Ministers plan is some kind of legitimate option? Very weird response to genocidal rhetoric from a prominent Israeli government minister.

No one is trying to manipulate you. You were asked a perfectly reasonable question which was What do you think Israel should do about Hezbollah, given that they are lobbing rockets at Israeli civilians in Northern Israel?

Pulling out of Lebanon is not a response that is going to stop Hezbollah doing this so the question remains unanswered.
