The IRGC denying stuff. Did they claim the other strikes or deny them?

They have claimed all other attacks except the water desalination plant in Kuwait and the missile attacks on Cyprus and Diego Garcia I believe.
They also denied being responsible for the missile that killed hundreds of schoolgirls

Since when did cutting off food, water and medicine to innocent people become a profoundly evil act?

I criticised Israel when they paused humanitarian aid during the war in Gaza.

How about you criticising Iran for targeting a water desalination plant or is it only Israel you criticise?

Notonthestairs · 04/04/2026 12:41

Hitting a desalination plant is a war crime.

So is hitting a nuclear power plant and the hospital in Tyre.

War crimes are being committed by both sides.

Ellen2shoes · 04/04/2026 12:45

@Twiglets1 I don’t remember your stance on the threads re healthcare as criticising Israel but I do remember the support for views that MSF and UNRWA were justifiably being shut down as they were a security threat to Israel? Happy to be corrected if I’m wrong Also, don’t want to derail but did a double take when I read that!

Yes but this thread is about Iran hitting a water desalination plant in Kuwait which some people have yet to criticise (not you).

TopPocketFind · 04/04/2026 12:56

I have not seen anyone not condemning the bombing of a desalination plant.

Stop throwing these accussations around.

It's been all over this thread by 2 different posters - almost reflexive

Maybe they aren't aware of doing it?

I repeat that I criticised Israel on MN when they stopped all deliveries of humanitarian aid during the war in Gaza.

With regard to MSF and certain other organisations being shut down at the end of March 2026, I still believe that there was justification for organisations to be shut down who refused to supply details of staff as this is a security threat to Israel. Especially as MSF for example persistently denied seeing possible terrorist activity in hospitals until February 2026 when they finally admitted the below:

Doctors Without Borders suspends some work at Gaza’s Nasser Hospital due to presence of armed men

Doctors Without Borders has announced the suspension of some operations at one of Gaza ‘s largest functioning hospitals after patients and staff reported seeing armed, masked men roaming parts of the building.

The comments by the aid group, which is also known by its acronym MSF, are a rare announcement by an international organization about the presence of armed men in or near medical facilities in Gaza since the war began over two years ago.

MSF said in a statement all its noncritical medical operations at Nasser Hospital were suspended due to security breaches that posed “serious security threats to our teams and patients.”

“MSF teams have reported a pattern of unacceptable acts including the presence of armed men, intimidation, arbitrary arrests of patients and a recent situation of suspicion of movement of weapons,” it said.

If this is the usual then just say it ratter than accuse without quoting.

The last post I put on here was it’s good to see most if not all are hoping the pilot is returned. On another thread, this looks like the other with the same stuff to @twiglets

If you mean someone else then quote them.

Have you seen anyone saying that they do not wish the pilot will be found soon?

I said the opposite, it was good to see common ground where nearly all had expressed concern they’d be returned.

Have they? Did you address them directly about this?

I did ask you similar on a different thread and you warned me that you would report me.

I think it is safe to say that everyone is concerned about the missing pilot and hope he will be found soon.

I also think we have more common ground than you imply.

There is nothing offensive in what you are saying here so I'm sure what I warned that I would report on a different thread (if the attacks continued which they didn't) was different in tone.

I have asked several people on this thread if they condemn Iran hitting the water desalination plant but most haven't replied so maybe their silence gives the answer. It's an easy enough thing to condemn.

I’m always happy to decide on what is agreed upon, which is why I said on another the actions of IRGC should be separated from what to do about it.

The problem of the IRGC is not going away any time soon.

I would like to believe they are weakened somwhow but I don't feel very hopeful about it.

I think you said that you have read personal accounts from people there or with family there, what do they say about it?

You are regurgitating without context information that was being discussed on that thread - MSF reported these incidents as they happened and the identity of the armed masked men was not confirmed. The possibility that they could have been Israeli backed armed militia was strong as discussed in that thread.

You also supported the dismantling of UNRWA, which is the backbone of humanitarian aid for Palestinians, on the basis of misinformation.

Ordinarily I wouldn’t bring this up on another thread but your claim that you have been in support of the facilitation of humanitarian aid in Gaza is misleading at best.

I just read what is available, there are some verified commentators if you have a look on IG.

I’m not certain what can be done about them but I find it hard that those suffering aren’t really given much air time. Probably because information is so suppressed, violently and practically.

Anyone can say they care too and don’t want what’s happening, I have no issue with that.

On the pilots unfortunately SM will get all sorts of comments but thankfully mn appears to be free from that.

No it isn't misleading to say what I said which is that I criticised Israel on MN when they stopped all deliveries of humanitarian aid during the war in Gaza. That is factual and you will be able to see posts written by me in which I said that was wrong when Israel blocked all humanitarian aid from entering Gaza which was for a couple of months from memory.

You bought up a different topic - something discussed at length on a different thread. No point rehashing old points especially when they are not even relevant to this thread about the desalination plant in Kuwait.

It's not disingenuous. It's factual to say that Iran and Kuwait are not at war.

What is it that they say? There will come a time when everyone has always been against it.

It's not disingenuous. It's factual to say that Iran and Kuwait are not at war.

When Kuwait and Bahrain are passively allowing their territory to be used for offensive military attacks on a neighbouring country that have already killed and maimed hundreds of children, the distinction is so flimsy it's practically meaningless.

There is no excuse or justification for Iran's attack on the desalination plant - just as there is no excuse or justification for the USA and Israel bombing similar energy, fuel and civilian infrastructure sites in Iran - these attacks are rightly considered war crimes by the international community.
