Should the international community sanction Israel over settler violence in West Bank?

The problem of Israeli terrorism is getting worse and worse. Just over the past few weeks amongst other things Israeli terrorists have killed multiple people, commited sexual assault, beaten and threatened to rape young Palestinian girls, continually attacked the residents and property of the only remaining fully Christian town in the West Bank, stolen 100s of sheep from the Bedouin community, beaten activists who are there to provide a protective presence to Palestinians, set fire to property.

Palestinians don't have the right to defend themselves from this violent, rapidly escalating Israeli terrorism. They can't arrest and detain the Israeli terrorists. They are sitting ducks with no means of protecting themselves from beatings and sexual violence. Is it time that the international community steps in and sanctions Israel until they can control their obvious terrorism problem? What else can be done to try and protect innocent people from this escalating Israeli violence?

Did anyone see the video of Heidi Levine, an American journalist who was doing work for the Washington Post getting really badly beaten by 'settlers' in Palestine? She is a small woman in her 60s and they beat the absolute shit out of her. Really distressing to watch. She is an award winning photojournalist who has spent 40 years covering conflicts.

It's 4 years since the Palestinian American journalist Shireen was killed in Palestine and things have just gotten so much worse since then.

No I haven't seen that, sounds horriffic. I saw a male American journalist getting attacked as he was trying to protect an elderly Palestinian woman a few weeks ago. I guess this is what being emboldened to terrorise with zero consequences looks like

It's awful, 3 grown men kicking her as she lay on the ground trying to shield herself. They are completely out of control, considering Israel keeps insisting it just a few rogue teenagers you wouldn't think it would be so hard to round them up and lock them away until they learn to behave themselves.

I just saw another video where 2 people run in to try and rescue her, they are helping her away when settlers start attacking again. Levine says 'I can't run, let me die'. That poor woman, a veteran photojournalist who has spent her career in war zones.

And what will America do about this? Absolutely nothing! Can't upset their best mate can they? So they will happily sacrifice their own citizens 😡

That was the bit that got me in the video. You can hear the fear and distress in her voice. I presume they were Palestinians that ran in to help her.

It is very clear she is press. They have no fear of anyone.

I just heard on the radio that the settlers used sling-shots to fling stones at Palestinian olive pickers.

Think of the endless Palestinian children the IDF has shot dead for throwing stones at IDF soldiers.

I am amazed that the U.S doesn’t protest far more strongly to Israel about this.

The UN say up to 2,5 million trees have been destroyed in the West Bank.

It is just so disgusting and it’s getting worse. I think there needs to be an international presence to protect the trees and the people from these ‘settlers’. It has descended into savagery.
