There is currently a thread running called 'One Child a Day: Remembering Gaza’s Children' for those who wish to know more about the children killed in Gaza and focuses on remembrance, not politics:

Thank you @YourFavouriteFalafel

Unless your moral compass is broken, I think we can agree that nothing can justify the horrific deaths of 20,000+ babies and children.

OhMaria2 · 21/09/2025 11:21

Heartbreaking

Wedonttalkaboutboris · 21/09/2025 11:34

Truly one of those awful things that can never be made ‘right’ again

Wedonttalkaboutboris · 21/09/2025 12:01

As of early 2025, Gaza has the highest number of child amputees per capita globally. Estimates indicate that between 3,000 and 4,000 children have lost limbs due to the ongoing conflict, with many more suffering life-altering injuries. The use of explosive weapons has left an average of 15 children per day with potentially lifelong disabilities, including severe limb injuries and hearing impairments.

“GAZA IS REDEFINING WAR INJURIES”: EXPLOSIVE WEAPONS LEFT 15 CHILDREN A DAY WITH POTENTIALLY LIFELONG DISABILITIES IN 2024

GAZA, 14 January 2025 – The use of explosive weapons in Gaza in 2024 condemned an average of 475 children each month – or 15 children a day [1]- to potentially lifelong disabilities, including severely injured limbs and hearing impairments, said Save t...

A sentence in the UN report regarding Israel's genocide in Gaza.

"Israeli security forces shot at & killed civilians, including children who were holding makeshift white flags. Some children, including toddlers, were shot in the head by snipers."

Such a powerful poem, huge respect for Michael Rosen, a wonderful humanitarian.

AmadeustheAlpaca · 07/10/2025 20:44

I'd like to think about Ariel and Kfir Bibas who were also murdered in Gaza. And their poor mother.

Surely we can think of both? The victims of October 7th and all Gazans who have been victims before and after October 7th?

TigTails · 07/10/2025 21:21

Absolutely sickening. Unforgivable.

stomachamelon · 07/10/2025 21:24

Read about the Kapshitter and Vital families. ‘Don’t mention the children’

No posters on this thread mentioned children murdered by Hamas till I mentioned them, so I thought I'd introduce some balance to the thread. A lot of the children killed in Gaza are killed as a result of Hamas actions exactly two years ago when Jewish children were butchered.
I abhor cruelty to innocent children but this thread was one-sided and posters seem to excuse the disgusting behaviour of Hamas and how they treated children. And their families. I can't believe some of the appalling behaviour by anti Jewish groups which I have witnessed in Britain on TV today. There are some sick individuals out there.

Are you suggesting that I am anti Jewish for expressing my thoughts and sympathies to all those who have died and suffered? We can and should do both.

KoalaKoKo · 07/10/2025 22:52

This poem was initially written in 2014 after Israel bombed the crap out of Gaza killing children. Let’s not forget those poor children gunned down on the beach.

If you read my posts correctly its quite clear that I suggedted no such thing. However, since you brought it up, are you anti Jewish? A yes or no will suffice.

Yes, and not only Jewish children butchered in Israel but also children killed not only by Israel in Gaza via Hamas using civilians as human shields and but also by Hamas firing rockets from civilian areas, covering whole areas in landmines and IEDs as booby traps for the IDF and very likely shooting them themselves.

Why has no one considered that a high level of lower limb amputations in a war, as studied in wars like Afghanistan, are primarily due to IEDs and landmines.

Does anyone seriously think that Hamas or the PIJ take precautions when firing rockets from refugee tents or booby trapping whole city blocks, to ensure civilians are not at risk?

Hamas who actively tries to prevent civilians leaving areas given evacuation orders, would not shoot a load of kids to blame Israel (not as if they’re above murdering children in cold blood), when they say the blood of Palestinians fuels the resistance and of course the hatred of Israel.

How will we ever know how many of these children were actually killed by Israel, who are accused of deliberately targeting them, but for what purpose?

To reinforce the view that they are monsters, but why target some kids and facilitate the evacuation of others for medical care, even treating them in Israeli hospitals?

How does that stack up?

How many of the 20,000 child deaths (Hamas figures) were used in warfare as child soldiers. They were certainly murdered by Hamas.

How many would have lived if they had been afforded the basic right to be evacuated to safe refuge during a war which seems to have dismissed by their so called advocates, who think it’s more important they are child death figures in case their families can’t return to their home. I’m sure any child living in the midst of a war zone would prefer they were in a safe country with their families safe and they will have never experienced that under Hamas rule.

I’m sure this will upset those who want to believe Israel is responsible for every death in Gaza and the IDF are an an unprecedented army of gleeful psychotic baby killers because they’re predominantly Jewish of course, killing without care with the whole world watching, worse than any other military group even Hamas who did actually do that, which is clearly utter horseshit or they would have cleared out Gaza 2 years ago.

Obviously not or I wouldn’t have said that we can support both sides. Are you anti -Gazans? You can reply in as many words as you like!

No one should think that only that the soldiers killed Gaza children. Hamas are evil too. They need to be stopped too. Both sides. I think it is an impossible task though.

Khaled Mohammed Fathi Jabr
7 years old
Israeli airstrike
17 October 2024
It took surgery and five years of IVF treatment for Khaled’s mother Amal to fall pregnant for the first and only time. Born nearly two months premature, he had a twin brother, Adam, who died at three days old. Khaled was transferred to a Jerusalem hospital for specialist treatment. A compromised immune system meant he was in and out of hospital until he was about four, but then his health improved and Amal could settle into a normal rhythm of life at their home in Tal al-Hawa, in western Gaza. Amal found joy in small things, preparing school supplies and taking him to football, swimming and horse riding classes at the Friends Equestrian Club, where he had a special bond with a horse called Shams. After Israel launched airstrikes on Gaza in response to the Hamas cross-border attack on 7 October, the family fled south to join Amal’s parents in Rafah, which Israel had declared a safe zone for civilians. Ten days later, Khaled was killed in an Israeli airstrike along with his grandfather, uncle, aunt, cousins and 11 other relatives

Young lives cut short on an unimaginable scale: the 18,457 children on Gaza’s list of war dead

Every name on a list compiled by health authorities in Gaza of the child victims of Israel’s offensive

I'm anti Gazans who support Hamas. How's that for a straight answer, rather than a woolly answer. You've not said yes or no either, you're playing word games
I'm coming off this thread as it will just go round and round in circles like all the other Middle Eastern conflict threads and not achieve anything or change any opinions, similar to all the Pro Palestinian marches.
I mainly wanted to mention the Bibas children who were also murdered in Gaza by Palestinian Hamas and not by Israel.

JacknDiane · 08/10/2025 09:24

Its such a shame a thread remembering children murdered in cold blood has to always become a tit for tat @AmadeustheAlpaca.

Shame on you.
