U.S. President Donald Trump called for Israel to pardon Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or cancel his corruption trial, saying the U.S. would save him like it did his country.

All narcissistic dictators.

All leaders are narcissists. I don’t know of any government who honestly has a leader that truly believes in ‘social justice’
The UK government is probably more corrupt than the Israeli government. The difference is NB speaks his truth. The uk government speaks the truth people want to hear

@veiledsentiments You see this is the problem. People bleat about the genocide in Gaza but if you look at https://www.genocidewatch.com/ you will see that the uk is on there too.
If appears that people on here are more invested in a foreign country than what’s potentially happening in the uk

Edited

I find this to be a bit of a tenacious stretch. However, that’s my opinion.

Do you feel this after looking at the genocide prediction in the UK?

Thisweeksdrama · 26/06/2025 17:04

Madcatdudette · 26/06/2025 16:41

If you can’t look at all potential genocide data globally you are the problem that the west is suspicious about.
Hand up. I didn’t know but while at looking at the Palestine ‘genocide’ data it’s a wake up call to see that it could be happen on our doorstep.
If anyone feels that Middle East genocide is a more noble cause than UK genocide I’d have reservations about their motive

Again, I just don't understand what you mean by suggesting I am 'the problem that the west is suspicious of'? Are you seriously suggesting there is an imminent risk of genocide in the UK?

The question of whether what is happening in the middle east can be accurately defined as genocide will be decided by international law. But comparing the ongoing killing of tens of thousands of people with whatever hypothetical risk of UK genocide you are talking about doesn't warrant discussion.

It’s ironic that people on MN will deride anyone who challenges the ‘Gaza genocide’ situation but will deny the potential of genocide happening in the uk

Thisweeksdrama · 26/06/2025 17:12

Yes I have.

If you consider it to be a reliable source of information. Do you agree with its assessment of the IDF and Israeli government as well as Hamas:

You may need to link what you are referring to. I have looked at the genocide watch website and can't see anything. Hard to discuss or deny something you know nothing about.

I haven't derided anyone for challenging the Gaza genocide. I've said international law will decide that.

I am deriding the idea that the UK genocide risk level is in any way comparable to what is happening in the middle east.

Maybe you could provide some specific links rather than expecting people to trawl through the whole site. I can't find anything like what you're claiming on there. I'd be interested to read what they say though.

Yep did that too found nothing. Oh well we'll have to leave it so, discussion on UK genocide will have to wait.

Narcissistic dictators, who happen to govern democracies. I did say there would be clichés.

At the end of 2018, the population of Israel was approximately 8,972,000people. That includes more than נתונייך עברית 2018 - דיגיטל .pdf 330,000 Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem who do not have Israeli citizenship and thus do not have the right to vote in national elections. Then there is the West Bank, which has been governed undemocratically by the Israeli military since it occupied the territory in 1967. Prime Minister Netanyahu has vowed again and again, the Israel will not give up military control over the West Bank — ever.
In that territory, over which Israel plans to rule in perpetuity, live more than 2,623,000 Palestinians — over 2,953,000 including East Jerusalem Palestinians — who do not have the right to vote in Israeli elections

I am beginning to believe that you know very little about Israel. Despite your willingness to defend it to the hilt.

What Netanyahu's idea of peace looks like - +972 Magazine

Although he may publicly reiterate his support for a two-state solution, Netanyahu’s vision for a future Palestinian state is one that would lack nearly all sovereignty.  U.S. President Donald Trump said that he favors two states as a solution to...

So are you saying that genocide is only valid if it’s Palestine?
You give no fucks about British Muslims or Romani?

noblegiraffe · 26/06/2025 17:47

Well I've found a 'genocide watch' put on the UK for the Southport riots last year which were clamped down on really quickly and lots of people put in jail for.

https://www.genocidewatch.com/single-post/genocide-watch-united-kingdom

The idea that those riots requires a 'genocide watch' quite frankly makes me think the genocide watch website is a pile of bollocks.

You’re trying to cover your own arse here, and it’s not working. You said in another thread that Bibi was fighting against racists, yet did not comment on the fact that Ethiopian Jews had been given birth control without their knowledge because Bibi didn’t want black Jews in Israel.

I maintain, your grasp on what goes on in Israel is slim to almost nonexistent.

The poster mentioned Putin, Trump and Netanyahu as narcissistic dictators. I asked how a dictator can govern a democracy. What part of that aren't you getting? I really don't care what you presume, either, about me. If you want to mention other threads, would that be the thread on which your posts were deleted?
