It is clearly a humanitarian crisis, but what can be done to protest the situation in Sudan?

Does the UK government hold any sway over the warring factions?

Are there diplomatic steps that could be taken?

Is the situation the result of colonial powers interference?

I’m seeing so little about Sudan that I don’t even know the details. I’m going to google now but as I read two papers per day, it’s surprising that I’m so unaware.
Where are you reading the coverage?

The countries currently supplying arms to Sudan

"Amnesty International found that recently manufactured or recently transferred weapons and ammunition from countries including China, Russia, Serbia, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Yemen are being imported in large quantities into Sudan, and then in some cases diverted into Darfur."

Many of the usual suspects.

Turkey often escape criticism as do the UAE.

That other thread was started to make deliberate unfavourable comparisons with Gaza. It said so in the opening post....

Anyway, I've seen coverage on channel 4 and al-jazeera. I wrote to my MP to ask why so little seems to be happening with this tragedy, and asking why its not being discussed more??...no reply yet except a generic one.

@BaMamma

Al Jazeera coverage of Mid East is generally pretty good. Visit their site.

I agree @mouthpipette Al Jazeera has the best coverage of Sudan from what I can see
