Not really surprised with this. The BBC should have been aware how easy it would be to be inadvertently used as an outlet for propaganda when Hamas are in charge of media coming out of Gaza.

Shame that the BBC which presents itself as impartial isn't. Unable to actually call Hamas 'terrorists' they use a long confaluted description instead.

Even yesterday when they mentioned that the dead bodies of the Bibas family were to be handed over they said believed to be killed in an airstrike (following hamas suggestion of how they died, whereas its mot known yet). They don't sound very impartial at all just repeating what hamas state.

More than 200 people from the TV and film industry have signed a letter to the BBC board calling for an urgent investigation into what it called "systemic problems of antisemitism and bias" at the corporation.

The letter said "208 BBC staff, contractors, suppliers and contributors from across the television and film industries, the majority of whom are Jewish" were in "anguish and disbelief" that complaints about coverage and social media posts during the Israel-Gaza war had not been dealt with.

A BBC spokesperson said it stood "united against any form of abuse, prejudice or intolerance", and had "well-established and robust processes in place to handle any concerns or complaints".

The letter referred to documents sent to BBC chairman Samir Shah, in which the group claimed there had been multiple breaches of the broadcaster's social media guidelines.

Former BBC One controller and now Telegraph columnist Danny Cohen, and former ITV executive Claudia Rosencrantz, were among the signatories.

In the middle of that article, after presenting the claim about the BBC as facts, the DM has inserted a sentence that says

'The DM has not been able to independently verify the claim'.

So this is the DM, who hate the BBC and want rid of it as our national broadcast company, who publish unverified, inflammatory stories about it most days, publishing another yet one.

Just a reprint of the DM anti-BBC propaganda.

Just this week there have been two protests outside the BBC offices in London, one pro Palestine, one pro Israel.

Both groups claim bias on both sides.

Just a reprint of the DM anti-BBC propaganda.

Now, Independent investigative journalist David Collier has claimed that one of the child narrators featured in the documentary, 14-year-old Abdullah, is in fact the son of a Hamas government minister and grandson of one of Hamas' founders. Its LBC Doing the story. Not just lifted from DM.

There is a claim by a independent investigative journalist made. He also made his claim on other media. "Mr Collier used Facebook and other publicly available data to identify Abdullah, claiming he is the son of Gaza's deputy minister of agriculture, Dr Ayman Al-Yazouri."

I see the BBC didn't make the programme, just showed it.

It's interesting. A Muslim friend of mine now refuses to watch the BBC because she thinks it is a mouthpiece for the Israeli state.
This conflict divides people like no other, the partisan comments on both sides of the MN threads are a very good example of this.
Personally I think the BBC is treading a very delicate line on this, but I continue to watch and read their coverage and it seems to me to cover both sides reasonably well.

Yes, whatever’s happened to the independent investigations and reports by all the journalists and foreign media representatives allowed to go into Gaza to observe the situation and verify things for themselves? Oh, wait….

The irony of the DM reporting about any news agency producing biased news is not list on me. There is rarely a word in the DM that us not grossly biased, inaccurate or plain dishonest. Rarely sourced- usually 'someone close to the story told us' ie 'I made this up.' But they HATE the BBC.

LBC have the same disclaimer in the middle of the story

'LBC have not been able to independently verify the claim'

Yet they present it as fact.

Have they presented it as fact if it includes that disclaimer?

The BBC have now pulled the documentary as it falls below their standards of "due diligence"..
