Conflict in the Middle East

This needs to stop. They have no intention of negotiating a two state solution but want to control and occupy northern Gaza ensuring a two state solution is not possible.

I remember reading about it, some months back.

The IDF have no intention of leaving Gaza.

Netanyahu has never wanted a 2 states solution.

They want to occupy Gaza ofcourse, that has always been the goal. They accepted a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah even though they are still strongly equipped to attack Israel. Hamas on the other hand, have been degraded much more significantly. Yet, Netanyahu won't move forward with a deal because many in his party and the right wing religious party want to occupy Gaza. They will not agree to a deal where the IDF leave, knowing once they do, building illegal settlements will become more difficult.

IDF soldiers even took that evil woman - Daniella Weiss if I recall correctly, into Gaza so she can salivate over the graves and rubble of where she envisions future settlements.

The intensity of IDF attacks in North Gaza have also increased recently in order to "drive" the remaining Palestinians South.
After all Netanyahu's radical Settlers need somewhere to settle, this video from an Israeli documentary shows a mother and child gazing at Gaza and anticipating "visiting" within the next year:

"Avi Amit's new documentary on Israel's national broadcast channel about plans to re-settle the Gaza Strip. Sometimes children reveal the ugliest truth. Indoctrination is a terminal illness, and unfortunately some of us are unfortunate enough to be born into it."

The International political class have no idea what their inaction has allowed to develop, nor about the wide reaching consequences that will be unleashed in the coming years.

So, people in the north are to be pushed into a smaller space. I think the north also was important for agriculture and food production, now destroyed.

They're pretty open about their plans:

The Israeli military will remain in Gaza for many years, fighting against fresh Hamas recruits in the territory and could be responsible for delivery of humanitarian aid there, a senior Israeli minister has said.

The comments by Avi Dichter, Israel’s minister for food security and a member of the Israeli security cabinet, confirm an emerging picture of a long-term deployment of Israeli troops inside Gaza, with no immediate Israeli plan for any other administration to govern the territory’s 2.3 million people and begin reconstruction there.

“I think that we are going to stay in Gaza for a long time. I think most people understand that [Israel] will be years in some kind of West Bank situation where you go in and out and maybe you remain along Netzarim [corridor],” Dichter said.

Reservists who recently served in Gaza have described to the Guardian the scale of the new military infrastructure built in the territory by Israel. This includes extensive new camps and roads across a swath of northern and central Gaza.

One recently demobilised officer said he had spent much of the previous 70 days demolishing houses to clear more ground for what had become a series of big military bases in Gaza’s Netzarim corridor, a military zone that has been established between the Mediterranean coast and Gaza’s eastern perimeter fence

If there was ever any doubt what their plan was but so many posters here claiming it would all be over once the hostages' were released which actually seems so far down Netanyahu and his governments priorities

It's amazing what people will believe when the evidence is right there.
