If Harris wins….

…IF she wins (please! Anything other than Trump) do you think she will be tougher with Israel?
And a secondary question, one which I don’t know the answer to but maybe I’m being hopelessly naive. I get that Israel is a strategic partner to the USA in the Middle East. I get that, for all sorts of reasons, it helps the west to limit Russian and Iranian influence in the region.

However, why does that mean that the USA basically gives a free pass to Israel. I believe most democrats think that what The IDF is doing is horrendous. Why won’t they more openly attack Israeli policy? Israel needs the USA more than the USA needs Israel, surely? Or are they worried about losing votes at the upcoming election from Jewish voters? (Even though many Jewish USA voters are appalled at Netanyahu and also they risk loosing thousands of Arab votes as well with current policy…)

I just don’t get it. From a purely strategic perspective, it doesn’t make sense.

Harris has strong connections to AIPAC, she has received donations from them, spoke at their conferences and met their leaders. In 2017 she met with Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel and reaffirmed her support for Israel.
This is who she is and what she believes in.

Unfortunately no candidate is a good option for Palestinians. Look at Bernie Saunders video about it. He fundamentally disagrees with her stance on Israel but still thinks she is a better choice than Trump.( Who spoke to Netanyahu a few days ago with the words "do what you have to do"chilling)
