BBC World Service are reporting on this in tones of disbelief, but it sounds plausible to me:

They haven't provided any evidence. I wonder how they know and why they haven't destroyed the hospital.

Kakeandkake · 22/10/2024 06:37

The tones of disbelief are probably because nobody believes the IDF as they are proven liars. Ditto the Israeli government who are also liars.

And Hamas aren't?

The IDF have successfully eliminated some of the most wanted terrorists in the Middle East.

Couldn't they find anyone else apart from the 'there is a list!' Guy to make the video. The man is a walking meme.

Or bombing schools and hospitals.

OrangeBlossomBlue · 22/10/2024 07:16

Sarcasm aside, does anyone think the Lebanese government will use this opportunity to take out the trash?

This is Lebanaon.

If you bomb everywhere with impunity you will eventually hit your target

ismu · 22/10/2024 08:24

@OrangeBlossomBlue the Lebanese government actually includes Hezbollah which has a political wing and can be compared to the DUP / Sinn Feinn parties in NI before the GF agreement.
So I don't think they will be "taking out the trash". The Lebanese political system gives specific roles to sectarian groups eg. particular ministers are usually from one Christian or Muslim sect.
Unfortunately since the grain store explosions a few years ago the country has been struggling financially. The money the IDF are referring to is credit union type funds which have been run by the Hezbollah party and have allowed families and businesses to keep their heads above water. This is absolutely encouraging illegal theft of money in a sovereign state.

It's a very disturbing development.

EasterIssland · 22/10/2024 14:28

Hospital has opened its doors today for journalists. to verify what Israel has said regarding the hospital.

a Spanish journalist I follow has been reporting about it.

Kakeandkake · 22/10/2024 14:35

The journalists are brave to go there, we all know the IDF doesn't hold back over bombing journalists although they are probably a little more careful with foreign ones because of the backlash.

That’s what I’ve been thinking about Almudena. She was based in the West Bank and has suffered multiple attacks by the settlers whilst she was live on the Spanish TV and now she’s in Lebanon. I keep thinking one day I’ll wake up and read she’s been killed. Brave woman

It's on the news here too, how despite being given free access to the entire hospital there was no bunker found. Another own goal by the IDF. Now imagine if journalists were allowed in Gaza, i am sure the hundreds of schools and hospitals bombed on a weekly basis would be drastically reduced as they wouldn't get away with continuously lying about it.

What a shocker. They lied.

It really highlights how wrong it is that journalists have been banned from Gaza because undoubtedly there are atrocities beyond our imagination happening and we don't have anyone to verify or spread the news. And how many lies were never debunked because there was noone there to do it. Very grim.

Lalaloveya · 22/10/2024 14:58

Did the hospital have to evacuate in the end? What was the point? Just to terrorise?

EasterIssland · 22/10/2024 20:23

Another journalist has reported what they’ve seen today and also their fears : that the
hospital will be bombed regardless they’ve not seen what Israel claims is there

Austin from the US has just said in a statement that they have seen no proof of any bunkers of cash under the hospital. Even they are publicly trying to distance themselves from the IDF lies, everyone knows that they lie and lie and lie and lie!

The grain store explosions … and the unsafe storage of ammonium nitrate - needed for explosives - had Hezbollah fingerprints all over it.
I don’t understand why people are surprised by the claim that Hezbollah has a secret cash bunker.

Do you have a proof about hezbolla having a secret cash bunker in the hospital?
