Extract:

"Since December, definitely since January, it's clear to everyone that we're not conducting negotiations. It happens again and again: You get a mandate during the day, then the prime minister makes phone calls at night, instructs 'don't say that' and 'I'm not approving this,' thus bypassing both the team leaders and the war cabinet."

It has always been obvious that Netanyahu does not this war to end. He has said so himself on numerous occasions. The man is on a mission to protect himself and to raise Gaza to the ground. Vile.

Thanks for this thread @AhNowTed , such an important point that many seem to be unaware of.

So many in the media are also covering up the fact that Netanyahu is doing this.

Thank you.

I saw this from

Optimism Over Hamas Deal Spreads From Washington to Israel's Top Brass.Netanyahu Has Other Concerns
A likelier scenario is that Netanyahu – who depends on his far-right partners – will delay his response until after his Congress speech. After that, an excuse to back away from talks won't be difficult to find.

Hamas' reply last week to the mediators regarding the Biden-Netanyahu proposal for a hostage deal reflected a certain flexibility by the organization, particularly in regard to the transition between the phases of the deal and the possibility of discussing issues beyond the number of Palestinian prisoners who will be released.
