Sad 4th thread and hostages still held by Hamas and others.

Grateful for any release 🙏❤️ all we’ve seen for weeks are horrific hostage propaganda videos from Hamas. Hard to hold onto hope.

I am pleased that he is being released but I am concerned about what has been promised to Hamas in return. Let’s hope it’s just a gesture of ‘goodwill’.

Each hostage returned to their family is important, for everyone's sake. After what we've heard from those released my heart breaks for their families.

It sounded like there’s nothing being promised to Hamas except properly restarting negotiations. But I trust none of them. They could be promising anything and everything, whether it is good for anyone on either side, without telling anyone, because getting Edan back looks good for Trump.

I don’t know. It’s so complicated I can’t follow it, and I don’t trust any of them anyway. Praying Edan is released anyway, whatever machinations are going on.

Family are enroute to Israel. No specific handover time yet.

a hostage being released is good news, and there has not been much of the recently.

Right when Donald Trump is accepting a $400million private airliner from Qatar, to be used as Air Force One before being gifted to the Donald Trump Presidential Library where it will be placed at Trump's disposal when he is no longer in office.

There is something off about all this. Billionaire Hamas leaders live lives of luxury in Qatar.

Qatar could tell Hamas to hand all the hostages back - and could have done so from the beginning - but they are obviously enjoying the leverage they have in this situation.

Agree. Although I think Qatar are playing a bigger game than just enjoying the leverage.

and is trump insane accepting a plane as a gift from Qatar?? They could have done anything to it!

It shows Trump can be bought off. Greed. Freebies. Money naking deals as in Ukrainians minerals. These are things important to Trump.

Not just Trump though. The Qataris are heavily invested in the UK, owning Harrods, being the largest shareholder in Sainsbury's, owning much of canary wharf, and loads of other things here in the UK including Heathrow.
They are very, very, very rich and it seems like there are lots of people, including us in the UK, who are happy to take their money.

Edan looks ' well ' considering what he has been through, but of course how his appearance looks is not an indicator of his mental health.

I hope all the hostages that have been released and those still waiting to be released are looked after.

Apparently he has said that he was starved for most of his time in captivity but has been fed for the last two months.
