What were they chanting, do you know? And who were those men, not the Hamas ones with guns, the shouting mob who were pushing forward? Are they against the ceasefire?

They are chanting " kill the Jews" from what I saw on twitter earlier. These are the " normal innocent civilian Gazans" we keep hearing about.

Crikey. I don’t think it’s fair to put innocent women and children into that category though, or any men of the men who haven’t yet chosen to become involved with Hamas.

I did notice that in all the “celebration” footage that has been shown though, it’s predominantly groups of young angry seeming men and boys who are screaming in the way that football thugs do when they celebrate. Unsurprisingly there weren’t many women or young children around in those scenes, it didn’t look like a nice atmosphere and environment to be in, regardless of the fact that they were supposed to be celebrating something good.

Some online news sites said they expect that the 4 to be released on Saturday will be one female civilian and 3 female soldier observers - I'm guessing the 3 young girls taken from the military base?

There were 5 young women taken from the military base weren't there?

7, Ori Megidish was rescued alive at the start of the war, and Noa Marciano was murdered in captivity and her body recovered by the IDF. 5 remain .

Hen Mazzig posted that Israel should get more info on the hostages tomorrow as part of the agreement. I’ve also seen talk that Sasha Troufanov is in poor health :/

I have read that Hamas are to release one civilian and four female soldiers in the next release. Still no news of Bibas family.

Yes I've seen that too, I think the civilian is Arbel from what I've read? Although she is being held by a different group, not Hamas. I've also just seen that instead of providing a list of who is alive and dead Hamas will instead just provide numbers with no names. They are so evil, just torturing the families more.

Karina Ariev, Daniella Gilboa, Naama Levy and Liri Albag.

Their last Shabbat in captivity. Dear Naama, I've thought about her every day: that awful footage with her bloodstained joggers, and cut Achilles held by a terrorist with a machine gun yelling allahu akbar. Just horrendous.

quantumbutterfly · 24/01/2025 16:07

Just heard on the radio.

Hoping. Waiting.

brummumma · 24/01/2025 16:11

No Arbel on the announcement? Wonder if it's because she is held by a different group and Hamas couldn't secure her?

GentleScroller · 24/01/2025 17:58

So, they are only releasing four of the five field observers. I am very worried about Agam Berger. In the video Hamas released of Liri, she mentioned one person being seriously injured.

Do you happen to know what time the girls are being released tomorrow? Will they be handed over to the Red Cross in the same way, in front of all those Palestinian men?

Yes “Dear Naama” ❤️

OpheliaWasntMad · 24/01/2025 18:36

All of them are precious and dearly loved but Naama and the Bibas family have been in my heart throughout.

Pebblesonthebeach40 · 25/01/2025 05:36

Thank you for the update.

stomachamelon · 25/01/2025 09:53

I have just seen footage of the girls being handed over to the Red Cross :) they were waving and looked happy.

Is it me or do the very bulky clothes look suspicious? The 3 women released last week look drawn and thin. It would be a tragedy if they are being returned having been raped and left pregnant?

brummumma · 25/01/2025 11:15

Also why does the news always mention Arbel as the remaining civilian - technically hasn't Hamas also broken The agreement bh not releasing the Bibas mum and children ahead of the IDF girls? Is this a sinister sign that the family are no longer alive?

stomachamelon · 25/01/2025 11:15

I really wouldn't like to say or think about it. I am just happy to see them alive.

SharonEllis · 25/01/2025 11:52

Really dont think such speculation is helpful.
