Conflict in the Middle East

Internment without trial of young people
We know it well. I know several families who left the North of Ireland in case their teens were wrongfully accused and detained without trial.
It’s a sort of bloodless ethnic clenpansing by terror so maybe the parents should be grateful that she wasn’t just shot in the head by the worlds most moral army like a lot of them
Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East.
I bet she’s not a dual citizen of the US or UK anyway

Thank you for sharing @Scirocco sadly Israel are so used to getting away with this repeatedly.

It's totally normal. This happens all the time to a Palestinians in the West Bank. It happens to men, women, Muslims, Christians, adults and kids as young as 12 too.

They get put in military, not civilian, prisons.

This is Israeli apartheid.

This is it. They've been doing this for decades and people wonder why Palestinians don't like living under apartheid military rule.

Plenty of other reasons too.

A soldier told him: “We are at war, we can do anything.”

Yes, IDF the world realised what you are like some time ago now: the lowest common denominator of bullies, thugs, and, not a few among you, murderers. And no, you are certainly not the most moral army in the world.

I just came on here to see if there was a thread about this. Although I realise it is an awful common occurrence for Palestinians, I have a feeling many people don’t know as it’s not well reported in the UK.

Statement from Munther Isaac:

”Today we learned that an Israeli military court has placed Palestinian Christian young woman Layan Nasir, who was arrested last week, in administrative detention for four months (renewable). No charges have been presented. Layan is just one of thousands of Palestinians who are in detention with no charges (including 85+ women). This is part of the Israeli apartheid system that oppresses Palestinians. According to Btselem: “Israel routinely uses administrative detention and has, over the years, placed thousands of Palestinians behind bars for periods ranging from several months to several years, without charging them, without telling them what they are accused of, and without disclosing the alleged evidence to them or to their lawyers.”
I have spoken to Layan’ family this morning to console them. Please pray for Layan and Layan’s family. Please pray for justice. Please pray and advocate for the release of the thousands of Palestinian political prisoners / “hostages!” “
