This is not okay. What do Isreal plan to do about this when they eradicate Hamas - or are we blaming these kids for an election in 2006 too?

Shocking, but they are considered children of darkness in Israel and this is how they justify all that they are doing.

It's incredibly sad, the doctors would use a acronym for these children when they would come to the hospital WCNSF (Wounded child no surviving family)
I'm not sure what will happen to the children, maybe cared for by friends or neighbours or then just normal people in the community.

It's despicable that this has been allowed to happen. So many people complicit in this. Monsters, the lot of them.

Is there a scheme for these children to be fostered out with Gaza like when families are resettled. I'm off to email Humza yousaf. I know leaving their country/culture is not ideal before anyone jumps in.

Quite some time ago Qatar offered homes to some of these children [1500 or 1000] when there were less of them - but that's a drop in the ocean now and trans-country adoptions aren't always the best solution

Wonder what happened to the prem babies from Al Shifa who were evacuated to Egypt - some of whom had no parents

@headstone - they're really not. Many, many Israelis also consider them to be innocent victims of a terrible war - a war started by Hamas BTW.

Is there anything that can happen to these children which you will just accept as being fucking awful - even if you can't bring yourself to acknowledge the disproportionate response from Israel.

Does it make you feel better to reference Hamas when we are talking about thousand and thousands and thousands of children being orphaned?

@kirinm my post was in response to someone accusing a country of brainwashing its people to hate, and condone the death of, thousands of children.
I feel Netanyahu's response is disproportionate, yes. I believe the death of thousands of innocent children is awful.
But I also don't think people should make false claims that demonise many people who actually just want to live in peace with their cousins - which is the term - b'nei dodim - many Israelis use for Palestinians.

No one should excuse the fact that there are 19000 orphans ( for now as this will increase daily). Well, no one with an ounce of humanity, that is.
Imagine (God forbid) these children were Israeli...

This number is absolutely horrifying. As is the number of children killed by Israel. People here defending it every day of the week. Abhorrent.

As for the people who defend this, it is absolutely vile. People always reveal their true colours particularly with the anonymity of the internet.

In a few years you'll be hard pressed to find anyone who will admit they supported this...

19,000 is a huge number, what a tragedy. Over 25,000 Gazans also killed so far, I think around 250 every day. The numbers are just so shocking.

This Israeli government were elected. They are directly responsible. Hamas is the indirect cause.
There seems to be no sense of shame , just excuses, excuses- Hamas started it, they made us do it, they hate us, they want to kill us so let’s get them first….

This is so desperately sad. These types of life-changing injuries need so much ongoing rehabilitative medical care and physio and these poor children are not going to get anything close to the care they are going to need.

Exactly. And Israel made sure that the rehab centre was bombed and completely destroyed as well.

Leaving children like this is deliberate and criminal. It should never be allowed to happen
