Where are you looking at it from? Are you in Gaza or Israel?

We don’t need to be in either to see who is being slaughtered day in day out.

quantumbutterfly · 24/01/2024 18:24

That'll be a no then.

Humdingerydoo · 24/01/2024 18:39

MissyB1 · 24/01/2024 17:28

Precisely, I only see one side committing genocide…..

Do you? So what do you think Hamas were trying to do on October 7th, which they've said was only a rehearsal? And remember during the temporary ceasefire when they were asking their little terrorist friends on other fronts to attack Israel on their behalf? Such innocent fun!

Some people seem to have a thing for binary questions, and black and white thinking! I suppose it helps them to rationalise the death, disablement, and starvation of other human beings.

quantumbutterfly · 24/01/2024 19:30

Some people could start an argument if they were the only person in the room.

There are conscientious objectors every year. He's just getting more Western airtime/attention that the others have gotten, because of the situation. Usually they're sent back and forwards to prison (military) a number of times before being left alone. However, the process they pay is largely social - and at 18, that's particularly heavy. ALL your peers are joining up, socialise around it, talk about it, carry guns and pose around with them etc (I'm talking in more "normal" times). It's a rite of passage, a part of becoming adult in Israel. To opt out of military service is to opt out of an entire social scene. It's indeed very brave.

Not sure which part of my comment was against guidelines...

Hamas' intentions have always been genocidal. They've just not been successful.

What did Hamas charter say when they were elected? And what exactly do you think a Zionist is?

And those Hamas boys do seem like such nice misunderstood chaps don't they?

All that footage of their fun day out on 7/10, who wouldn't want them as neighbours?

tenbob · 24/01/2024 20:19

Humdingerydoo · 24/01/2024 20:11

Hamas' intentions have always been genocidal. They've just not been successful.

The same could be set for hundreds of organisations.

And it doesn’t distract from the actual genocide being carried out by Israel, which has also always had genocidal intentions towards Palestine but is now unfortunately being successful.

tenbob · 24/01/2024 20:22

how the actual fuck has my earlier post been deleted for pointing out the definition of genocide?

what sort of inane censorship now means we cannot criticise those who cannot understand a word in the dictionary?

inkworks273 · 24/01/2024 20:46

@tenbob I've sent you a PM.

25milesfromhome · 24/01/2024 21:22

Nice try, but really, if you read Hamas' charter, you'll see that they want a Muslim state between the two waters, but not one without Jews, one without Zionists. Listen to their words, they talk about Zionists, and about getting rid of the Israeli state. They specifically state they don't have a problem with Jews.

Hmm, how to achieve this perfectly reasonable aim? How to go about the eradication of the Israeli state and all those pesky Zionists without accidentally murdering Jews when they’re inexplicably just everywhere in Israel, getting in the way of all those missiles, border attacks, car rammings, bombings and shootings? Hamas have got themselves into a right old pickle with their new and improved charter.

inkworks273 · 24/01/2024 21:30

@25milesfromhome Ah yes, and the IDF are just innocent bystanders in all this. They do nothing but protect themselves against terrorists. I just watched a video from 2016 of an Israeli soldier shooting a Palestinian man who was handcuffed and blindfolded. But do keep trying to convince everyone that this is all just completely one sided.

blearyeye · 24/01/2024 21:39

@inkworks273 well said.

So you can’t tell the difference between political rhetoric and actual actions either?

Its really alarming how many people think ideology that isn’t acted upon is enough justification to start genocide

The IRA were making similar outlandish statements but funnily enough, we didn’t all use that as an excuse to carpet bomb every republican family and wholesale murder thousands of catholic children and babies

It is quite psychopathic to hear some of these arguments put forward to support the killing of newborns and toddlers

Never said they were and of course it’s not one sided, I don’t know why you think it is.
I was talking about the Hamas charter as referenced in the post, that’s it.

Well Israel obviously, not been keen on having neighbours since 1948 have they.

They've had a good 75 years to practice being shit neighbours...not really much the people of Gaza could do about it though living under blockade and all....god know how Hamas got any kind of foothold.

inkworks273 · 24/01/2024 22:03

@Wale90 "god know how Hamas got any kind of foothold."

Indeed.

Clearly, I can tell the difference better than Hamas, whose political rhetoric doesn’t in any way match their actions.

As my post was about the Hamas charter and how it doesn’t relate in any way to their actions, it’s quite remarkable you’ve extrapolated from it that I’m a psychopathic genocide justifying supporter of murdering babies and toddlers. You’re very late to the CME party regurgitating that particular trope-are you new here? I’ll mark it on my Soulless Zionist Sociopath bingo card anyway.

(The IRA thing’s got a bit tired now too, paging @DownNative )

You might benefit from a broader study of the history of that region, though I suspect you might struggle to be unbiased in your purview.
Are you in Gaza or Israel or just a comfortable observer stirring up divisive rhetoric?

Ah I know the answer to this one

Firstly evacuate [by force if need be] all those Israelis who are 'in the way' - for their own safety to designated 'safe zones' which get smaller and smaller so easier to secure

This would definitely keep the Israeli population 'safe' from harm

I've seen it done recently and know how it works
