That is a hard read. I am glad she wasn't hit. I felt particularly sad knowing she was without an adult she knew and cared for her, for the last part of her horrible nightmare.

I’m slightly agog that a dog survived as a hostage. Presumably different cells or whatever they are act very differently to one another .

I have so much admiration for the Red Cross workers who are facilitating the handover. They are so calm and show so much humanity. Obviously the entire thing is completely stage managed by Hamas so they presumably know the steps and have rehearsed exhaustively , but it’s quite a thing to watch. The hostages waving is utterly ridiculous though and I can’t believe people are taking it seriously !

I haven’t been writing the names of the Thai hostages as they haven’t been published in the media. The Times of Israel report that Thai embassy asked for the media not to report their names due to concerns for the Thai hostages who remain in Gaza.

It's very worrying because it seems to be getting worse for each handover.

for Hamas, taking care of old ladies and children is hard work and a bit of a hassle and they might die, plus it makes them look bad and they are very concerned about their public image. Hence the videos of shrouded corpses checking their phones etc. To be fair this has worked really well for them because they are winning the SM info war. The IDF soldiers are the valuable ones that they will want to keep hold of for a better trade, perhaps a trade for their own lives to be able to disappear off into those Egyptian tunnels.

Yes and politically it’s worrying as both sides are under pressure to resume hostilities . The problem is you can’t hide a Red Cross Vehicle, it’s pretty visible for good reason.

I don’t know how the hostages stay so calm. I suppose after weeks of fear and trauma maybe this is how you are ? Shut down.

I think that's it, I think they'll be extremely shut down as a response to the ongoing trauma.
