No - (Tory)

Sausagenbacon · 16/11/2023 09:43

No (labour). Makes me much more likely to vote for her.

Alltheprettyseahorses · 16/11/2023 09:44

Yes, one of Labour's safest seats and barely ever seen so no idea why he crawled out of the woodwork here. Maybe he was showboating to the more extreme elements in the CLP because it's definitely not top of people's minds in the extremely deprived food desert he's MP for.

I'm very angry about how the commons was filled to bursting yesterday but is almost empty when far more important votes are taking place. We need a serious conversation about our MPs' level of commitment and work ethics.

Did any Tory MP's vote for a ceasefire or did they all vote against a ceasefire?

Noelectricheating · 16/11/2023 10:11

CrunchyCarrot · 16/11/2023 09:33

No - (Tory)

Having a look at the results I think all Conservative MP's voted against a ceasefire.

MrsSkylerWhite · 16/11/2023 10:11

Doubt it. He’s a dick.

autumn1610 · 16/11/2023 10:14

Can’t even see my MP on either list! But two others from Sheffield voted for the ceasefire so I’m happy at least in my city some MPs are listening. If I can’t see her name assume she just didn’t turn up for the vote?

just did a google looks like she backed starmer eurghh

DeepfriedPizza · 16/11/2023 10:14

Aye, one of the SNP Tellers

ssd · 16/11/2023 10:15

Yes. snp.

LittleGreenDragons · 16/11/2023 10:17

No vote recorded.

I am very, very surprised at how big the difference is.
125 ayes to 293 noes

fairymary87 · 16/11/2023 10:19

Shocking so many didn't call for a ceasefire. Would of been nice for the uk to fight for the innocent children being murdered each day!

PurpleCrocs3 · 16/11/2023 10:19

Aye, SNP.

Hermittrismegistus · 16/11/2023 10:22

No vote recorded - Labour

Edited

There's three lists, so should be on the "not voted" one if they didn't.

Aside from Speaker and deputy speakers and Sinn Fein, the non-voter totals were:

57 Tories
141 Labour
4 DUP
9 Independents
3 SNP
1 Reclaim

(Edited to add - written before she found her MP)

Warmhandscoldheart · 16/11/2023 10:25

No (Tory)
Though how he found time to vote while juggling his 6 other paid jobs I'll never know 😠

JustKen · 16/11/2023 10:33

No. Labour.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 16/11/2023 10:46

No - conservative and hes an arse anyway. Im surprised he even bothered showing up he never bithers when its anything to do with womens rights, education or children in general. Unless its about housing or immigration he couldnt care less (hes a landlord, rents out commercial premises, he basically only cares about himself and how things will affect him. Hes only seen if theres a photo op)

AgentProvocateur · 16/11/2023 10:47

Yes, SNP.

areyouhavinglaugh · 16/11/2023 10:49

Tory abstained 🙄

ArtfulPuss · 16/11/2023 10:51

Yes. Lib Dem.

NickMarlow · 16/11/2023 10:56

Yes, Labour.

Shouldimove · 16/11/2023 10:56

Abstained - labour. They've lost my vote.

FOJN · 16/11/2023 11:02

My MP is a dick but thankfully voted for a ceasefire.

Thanks for the thread, I couldn't find the results last night.

TooOldForThisNonsense · 16/11/2023 11:28

Yes but tbh it’s a load of virtue signalling bollocks. It’s hardly like Israel would say Oh Ok then, the U.K. Parliament have voted for it so we’d better do it.

EsmaCannonball · 16/11/2023 11:34

The fact that Labour three-line whipped its MP's into voting against a ceasefire gives you an insight into real public opinion on this issue. Despite all the marches and protests, Labour polling must have shown that siding against Israel is a vote-loser.
