Jeremy Corbyn on Piers Morgan

Just watched the trainwreck Jeremy Corbyn interview. I sometimes find it a bit annoying myself the way Piers talks over people when I want to hear what the guest has to say. However, surely Corbyn knows Piers' interview style? This is an experienced politician, and the question was very predictable. Had he not prepared an answer? Other guests manage the quick-fire style, still manage to get their point across and remain professional and confident - they don't just slump behind the table and sulk! Did he really think PM was going to say 'Oh, you're right! this interview style that's earned me millions is actually just bad journalism. I'll listen respectfully while you have your say and then you can ask me some questions'?

That is why we stand up to racism against Jewish and Muslim communities. And that is why we are demanding an end to the collective punishment of the Palestinian people.

Oh, he did. At least he remembered to mention the hostages if only fleetingly.

But we know that Islamophobic attacks increase in the wake of Islamic terrorist attacks, and yet he fails to attribute any responsibility for that to the actions of Hamas on October 7th. He doesn't even mention October 7th.

I get the impression that he wants to blame Israel for antisemitism, and also wants to include Islamophobia, but then he fails to follow his own argument through when talking about the causes.

Mate, you're not going to be able form an international non-hierarchical anti-racism movement if you can't even mention a terrorist attack.

I did once have a massive debate with someone close to him about his fetish and bias. It was very interesting because the person kept stating the official Cobyn line on Israel/Palestinian about the situation there, plus how a conspiracy stopped Jez being winning election. However after a while of getting facts and logic thrown at him the person was visibly wavering. Most people do this eventually once they see all the evidence stacked up.

This is a child of 9 - 8 when she was kidnapped - whose mother died of cancer when she was 2. Hamas murdered her step mother, abducted her from a friend’s house and held her for 50 days.

Her father also said that when he was reunited with her he had to put his ear to her mouth to hear her speak because she was barely whispering, so afraid to make noise.

What kind of person trivialises that? What kind of person is so blinded that they can only acknowledge suffering that aligns with their politics?
