Conflict in the Middle East

Jeremy Corbyn on Piers Morgan

Just watched the trainwreck Jeremy Corbyn interview. I sometimes find it a bit annoying myself the way Piers talks over people when I want to hear what the guest has to say. However, surely Corbyn knows Piers' interview style? This is an experienced politician, and the question was very predictable. Had he not prepared an answer? Other guests manage the quick-fire style, still manage to get their point across and remain professional and confident - they don't just slump behind the table and sulk! Did he really think PM was going to say 'Oh, you're right! this interview style that's earned me millions is actually just bad journalism. I'll listen respectfully while you have your say and then you can ask me some questions'?

Corbyn praised Interpal at a February 2013 conference and encouraged more donations to be made as they had “done such great practical work.” Corbyn calls the chair of Interpal, Ibrahim Hewitt, a “very good friend.” It’s a rather odd friendship for a progressive, as Hewitt has previously ranted about the evils of homosexuality and called for adulterers to be stoned to death.

There were a lot of impressionable people who believed what was being said about him.

Was that because of the photos of him doing the things that were being said?

🤣 Laughed out loud at this!

Honestly, how starry-eyed do you have to be about someone to discount overwhelming evidence presented to you over and over again?

Yes, the media had it in for Corbyn. With good reason. And, frankly, they didn’t actually need to make anything up, did they? His own actions speak for who he is. But, you know, if you go all weak at the knees over absolute twats who love murdering, misogynist terrorists and hate Jews, he’s definitely your man.

At first I thought it was just the media stirring, but the evidence of sympathy with terrorism and antisemitism is just so overwhelming. What possible reason could a back bench MP for an English constituency have to talk to convicted terrorists from Northern Ireland? What possible business could he have with Hamas? Unless you have been invited to act as a peace negotiator through the legitimate channels you are simply prolonging the conflict by encouraging your 'friends' to think they have a just cause. He and his supporters are at best naïve.

Exactly

Trulywonderful · 22/11/2023 09:02

I think we could be on to something. Maybe we should give Jez his first ever peace negotiation job. Keep him from sticking his nose into the middle east and egging his friends on there.

I would let him negotiate a peace deal between the Year 9 students and most the teaching staff at my school (Ever year the year 9s are horrible. It is just hormones but nobody likes teaching year 9). The problem is I fear Jez would decide to start a protest rather that negotiations. Then that would turn into one of those school riots we saw on the news about uniform or whatever awhile ago

Maybe we can sign him up to work with XL bullies. He could take them down his allotment and teach them to behave or something. The best thing about that is if he is as useless at it as he is a peace activist only he gets hurt.

Oh yes, I had forgotten about his fan clubs favourite pastime- diminishing the achievements of an incredible woman ( Mo Mowlam now long dead so can't answer back ) and handing them to a mediocre man.

Trulywonderful · 22/11/2023 09:36

Yep

Absolutely agree with this

Mo Mowlam was indeed fantastic. There'd have been no peace without her, and yet everyone thinks it was Bliar; mediocre man certainly.

'This is no time for sound bites, but I feel the hand of history upon me.' 😂Best Blair quote ever! How I miss that man and his toothpaste smile!

@Trulywonderful Wonder if he'll be there 🤔

Hypocrisy is his middle name

So he could well turn up

I am bringing a small wooden stage, bucket of slim and the stocks just in case. Will charge one pound a wet gooey sponge.

Bet I could match Hunt's 7 million to combat antisemitism by the end of the day. Most people would be sure to want at least a dozen goes. If I livestream it we would get a bigger crowd too

etmoiandme · 23/11/2023 09:15

@Trulywonderful He'll have a placard that simply says "and all types of racism".

That made me laugh out loud! 100% what his placard would read!

Trulywonderful · 27/11/2023 02:22

Sorry guys they wouldn't allow me to take me giant inflatable Jeremy Corbyn with his whatabout sign on the antisemitism march.

Apparently it would have scared children. So that is fair enough.

etmoiandme · 27/11/2023 02:30

It's in your front garden now, yes?

noblegiraffe · 27/11/2023 07:13

I'm shocked, SHOCKED that the world's most famous anti-racist wasn't on the march himself.

Trulywonderful · 27/11/2023 13:14

etmoiandme · 27/11/2023 02:30

Yes with tinsel around its neck and a Christmas tree coming out of his bum.

Thought it would be sessional

Trulywonderful · 27/11/2023 13:17

I think it was wise that the real Jez didn't turn up. However the police ended up pepper spraying Tommy to remove him. So it is a shame Jez didn't turn up uninvited too. Just saying.

Trulywonderful · 27/11/2023 13:24

He managed to not tweet anything on the day too. Equally as wise.

  1. It would upset the terrorist friends he fetishes over
  1. It would upset his fan club for him to denounce antisemitism without mentioning at least one other group that is prejudiced against. Though Eddie did this we all know it wasn't done in a whatabout way
  1. It would only be seen as a fuckwittery tweet by the Jewish community and most people in the UK

Maybe he has finally learnt he isn't invited to comment on Jewish things or maybe he just doesn't need to pretend any longer because jew hate is in fashion

Anyway no attendance and no tweet from Jez so I am happy 😁

Truly: "I am happy with Jeremy Corbyn and his wise actions" 27/11/23

Funny

Probably not a statement you will ever hear me say again

However I am honest if nothing else

Trulywonderful · 28/11/2023 00:23

I spoke to soon. He may have kept his mouth shut yesterday but it didn't last long. He cannot help himself. He wrote an open letter published today. Some highlights:

"A mass anti-racist movement that opposes anti-semitism and Islamophobia goes hand in hand with demanding peace and justice in Israel and Palestine"

"I am utterly disgusted by the recent increases in anti-semitic offences. I am also disgusted by the recent rise in Islamophobia."

"That is why we stand up to racism against Jewish and Muslim communities. And that is why we are demanding an end to the collective punishment of the Palestinian people."

I think we all agree that both Jewish and Muslim hate crimes are wrong. Plus in his full letter he made some good points.

However the day after the biggest UK antisemitism march ever he releases this open letter with these comments.

The man just can't stop two siding everything and making Jewish hurt in the UK a whatabout Palestinians. Not for less than 48 hours anyway.

Turns out I was wrong he hasn't found a new wise thinking bit of his Hamas fetish brain.
