Documenting Israeli army racism and torture

Desertrose2023 · 15/11/2023 04:25

this thread is to document the racist, criminal and dehumanizing behaviour by the most “moral army in the world” both during its most recent bombardment of Gaza and across decades of military occupation in the West Bank.

to start, here is a video of Israeli soldiers chanting they will turn Gazans into Kebabs.

The 2004 ruling was advisory and did not state that the West Bank was Israeli territory. The ICJ advised that it remain Israeli occupied territory so the ICJ acknowledges that Israel are occupiers.

Under the Oslo Accords, governance of area C was supposed to be transferred from Israel to the PNA by 1997, this has still not happened.

Well it was won in a war that Israel didn't start and if it hadn't been it would be illegally occupied by Jordan. Palestinian settlers would be treated far worse of course but I'm sure that would go as unremarked as their current treatment by Jordan is so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Historically, it's like an endless tug-of-war.

Going forward, we need to unite against true terrorism.

Fifty Years War, Israelis and the Arabs Part 1

I was interested by this part in relation to the current war:
See 38:30 minutes in

Ariel Sharron had led an Israeli revenge/warning raid on an Arab village in retaliation for the murder of an Israeli woman by an Arab terrorist fighter whom that village was presumed to be harbouring. A trail had led from the murder to that village. His orders were “to blow up as many buildings as possible and create as many Arab casualties as possible”.

The village was to be taught a lesson. The entire village was attacked with grenades thrown into the houses. Entire families were buried in rubble.

You see villagers trying to dig out their families.

Just like now collective punishment was carried out and lead to criticism from America, France and Britain who wanted the troops punished.

But Ben Gurion told Sharon “It does not matter what the world says. It does not matter what anyone else says. The only thing that matters is that we can exist.“

Alcemeg · 16/11/2023 21:08

"Collective punishment" is such a brilliant buzzword now. Does it apply to 7 October? Many seem to feel it was a legitimate reprisal, but collective punishment is clearly a bad thing. Debate and discuss.

stormy4319trevor · 16/11/2023 21:26

@Alcemeg 7th Oct was a war crime, as everybody here knows. It was a terrorist atrocity. Whether it would be legally defined as 'collective punishment' would require some experts on international law to comment. You would need to start another thread with that as the topic, I think.

No need for that, we are all experts on international law here... or so it seems?!

treeees · 16/11/2023 21:33

Thanks for the thread op. So important to document and record these horrific war crimes.

feralunderclass · 16/11/2023 21:54

@Alcemeg 'collective punishment' is a term used in warfare, which is why humanitarian civil organizations are using it.

Love the sheer incredulity of Israel supporters..how dare anyone try and equate Palestinian babies with Israeli ones....1200 Israelis ARE worth more than 11,000 Palestinians...that's a given, isn't it.

It's the first time in a long time that people are not willing to give Israel a free pass. And that is something that Israel supporters can't stomach.

noblegiraffe · 16/11/2023 22:31

What the actual fuck are you on about?

Yes, they're really clutching at straws now with their faux outrage and their piles of evidence they insist they have that they can't share with us because it's just too distressing.

Meanwhile you can't scroll on twitter for more than 2 seconds without seeing a video of a dead Palestinian child.

I saw one earlier of a 4 year old boy who had lost his entire family and both of his legs. He didn't understand what was happening. They said he kept asking for his parents and kept trying to get up and walk. Heartbreaking.

treeees · 16/11/2023 22:36

Its now over 12,000 dead. And i expect many more as yet unaccounted for.

noblegiraffe · 16/11/2023 22:45

So you don't think the terrorist attacks by Hamas happened, purplecrocs?

Denying atrocities that happened to Jewish people.....do you do that with other ones too?

PurpleCrocs3 · 16/11/2023 22:54

@noblegiraffe I know the terrorist attacks happened.

noblegiraffe · 16/11/2023 22:55

I see, so you just deny that there's video evidence of them happening?

They didn't film themselves beheading 40 babies because that never happened.

noblegiraffe · 16/11/2023 23:03

I see. So apart from that one incident, you agree that Hamas raped women, tortured and executed men, women and children and that there is video evidence of this?

ScrollingLeaves · 16/11/2023 23:14

@PurpleCrocs3 I read about that little boy here. What is there to say.

Has anyone here even been to Israel? Had to rush into a shelter as Hamas rockets land nearby?

I have. Many times.

Desertrose2023 · 17/11/2023 05:16

this is a thread to call out the crimes of the Israeli army. Which span decades. pro-Israeli supporters have convenient amnesia, they don’t seem to recall any of Israel’s crimes against humanity before October 7th. Apparently nothing before then matters, because the people who suffered weren’t Israeli.

More recently, here is a video of the Israeli army taking into custody the, clearly elderly, mother of someone they have apparently arrested.

because in the “civilized democracy” that is Israel, blindfolding and arresting elderly mothers without charge acceptable.

Here’s another charming video of the Israeli army in a primary school in Gaza, expressing more of their genocidal intent to reclaim the ‘promised land’ and Gush Katif. Lovely !

I believe everything that we seen in the video footage happened if that's what you're asking?

Anything else, I'm sceptical about. I don't think you can blame me since the Israeli government have a well known track record of spreading lies and propaganda.

noblegiraffe · 17/11/2023 07:05

When you say 'we', who do you mean? Because presumably you are aware of the video footages that was shown to an audience of MPs showing rapes, tortures and murders of, I think 138 people? Does that count? And do you think the other people who died that day just dropped dead?

PurpleCrocs3 · 17/11/2023 07:08

I am not aware of that, no.

noblegiraffe · 17/11/2023 07:11

I see, so now will you stop going around casting doubt on the fact that there is lots of video evidence of the terrorist attacks of 7th October?
