Desertrose2023 · 15/11/2023 04:25

this thread is to document the racist, criminal and dehumanizing behaviour by the most “moral army in the world” both during its most recent bombardment of Gaza and across decades of military occupation in the West Bank.

to start, here is a video of Israeli soldiers chanting they will turn Gazans into Kebabs.

The BBC article from Oct 11 merely reports an account from an Israeli witness.

Oh I'm sorry, did you want to see a snuff film?

Oh save your moral outrage.

From todays Telegraph- read this and then tell me you support a terrorist group.

""The unnamed woman was nine months pregnant when she was abducted with about 240 others during the Hamas attacks on Oct 7.
“She gave birth to her baby in Hamas captivity,” Sara Netanyahu, the wife of Israeli prime minister Benjamin, said in a letter to First Lady Jill Biden.
“You can only imagine, as I do, what must be going through that young mother’s mind as she is being held with her newborn by these murderers.”
Mrs Netanyahu said she was appealing to her US counterpart “first and foremost as a mother” to “speak out on behalf of these children” as she highlighted the plight of the newborn and the other Israeli children currently being held hostage.
She said that 32 children have been held in Gaza for more than five weeks, including a 10-month-old baby who was “kidnapped even before he learned how to walk or talk”.
The children, she said, are “suffering from untold trauma, not only by being kidnapped, but having witnessed the brutal murder of parents and siblings”.""

For a second I thought I was in the “ Documenting Israeli army racism and torture” thread. I must have opened the 710 related one 🤔

This. There have been multiple snarky comments on other threads about Pro-Palestinian posters “derailing” other threads. The topic of this thread is not 07/10, it’s a discussion about the behavior of the Israeli army towards Palestinians since 07//10, and also the 75 years before that.

The first post sums it up. Israeli's are showing us who they really are - and the whole world is watching.

PurpleCrocs3 · 16/11/2023 08:16

@Brumbies No one here supports Hamas.

PurpleCrocs3 · 16/11/2023 08:18

"The children, she said, are “suffering from untold trauma, not only by being kidnapped, but having witnessed the brutal murder of parents and siblings”"

The irony. Or is it hypocrisy?

Desertrose2023 · 16/11/2023 08:20

and on that note, here is a video by an MSNBC journalist of the Israeli army demolishing a statue honoring Yasser Arafat - who won a Nobel prize for making a peace deal with Israel - in the West Bank, which Hamas do not govern.

Merely because they can.

Has anyone here even been to Israel? Had to rush into a shelter as Hamas rockets land nearby?

The Gazans would love to have shelters, you know.

Queucumber · 15/11/2023 18:24

The biggest mistake Israel made after the Hamas attack was to turn inward. They chose not to bring in international investigators to document the horrors of what was done. It allows people to deny and minimise the nature of the atrocities.

Some people are very quick to deny witness accounts of what happened in Israel while automatically accepting witness accounts of what is happening in Gaza at face value. You might want to ask yourselves why that is.

I will never deny the atrocities of 07/10.
What is happening in Gaza is well documented and by various sources too. Denying this is indefensible.

SomeCatFromJapan · 16/11/2023 08:42

Indeed. Rather remiss of the governing party not to build any.

This is terrible
Such unnecessary destruction
Why are they doing that?

Would those shelters have provided fully working incubators? Food? Water? Would they have stopped amputations to be carried out without anaesthetics? Mass graves?
Hamas is responsible for the atrocities of 07/10, the Israeli government for what is happening now.

Out of spite. It’s a form of dehumanization to try and erase Palestinian national identity and constantly remind them that they are under Israeli control.

I’d recommend following that MSNBC journalist, his name is Ayman Mohyeldin. He’s a political commentator based in New York. His reporting is measured and thoughtful. He’s one of the few journalists on a major U.S. network that attempts to humanise the Palestinian struggle.

TravelingPhysioWizard · 16/11/2023 09:30

I am questioning the veracity of any claims Hamas is killing children or babies.
I mean there is propaganda on both sides and the truth has no chance while the violence continues.
The propaganda war is most directly and deliberately waged by Hasbara against Israelis and international Jewish people in order to justify the actions of this criminal regime that holds the leavers of power.

Psychological warfare in the age of AI must be considered at all stages.

I recommend we all try to protect ourselves from it - view less content and focus energy on pressuring our elected leaders to STOP THE VIOLENCE NOW

noblegiraffe · 16/11/2023 09:36

Hamas bloody filmed what they were doing and posted stuff on the internet themselves. Further evidence came from their own body cams. Why the fuck are people saying there's no video evidence of their atrocities or that it needs to be independently verified?

TravelingPhysioWizard · 16/11/2023 09:37

There is always a land and resources element to such a huge military spend.

There are huge natural gas reserves in the Golan Heights and across Palestine. Israel May be a racist fascist regime but ultimately they are also a tentacle of the Anglo-American empire into the Middle East for strategic and economic purposes.

We have learned nothing since the Gulf war, when I was still in School. Capitalism is in crisis and that is the friction that sees 2023 become the axis of war, genocide, climate emergency and health crisis.

We have no leaders. Put your energy into your local representatives and MAKE them act to STOP THE VIOLENCE or we will see it in our own streets sooner than later.

I wonder if the First Lady will speak out on behalf of the 5,000 Palestinian women on the verge of going into labour with no access to a hospital, medical supplies or even a bed or somewhere sanitary to have their babies.

No but it is the Israeli government's fault for the hell they have unleashed and are still unleashing while the Western World is watching.
If you think this is totally justified, you do not have a shred of humanity.

People on this thread are questioning the veracity of the documented October 7th atrocities but no one is questioning a random insta video. I'm not surprised.
