And, yes, the Times of Israel is, generally speaking, a "reasonably normal" news outlet!

... eagerly awaiting the news that WMD have been discovered underneath Shifa hospital! 😳

Yes he'd a terrible record from Iraq war but he and his government were key to bringing peace to Northern Ireland and getting the good friday agreement across the line. This would never have been achieved with previous Tory governments

His NI record is pretty irrelevant - in the ME, his track record and hence also reputation are atrocious!

I guess my point is he was good at negotiating peace agreements which is surely very relevant to middle east?

He is also a patron of the JNF: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_National_Fund

If his track record on Iraq had not already robbed him of any last shred of credibility on any ME issues, this would!

The previous Tory government laid the ground work and continued negotiations even when the IRA broke the agreed ceasefire.

Mo Mowlem put in the hard work to eventually get the GFA across the line.

God help Gaza if Tony Blair ever has a hand in their fate.

This. Mo Mowlem is responsible for the GFA, Tony Blair just took the credit. He would be a disaster for Gaza.

I hope it's not true. He is a warmonger. His previous appointment as peace envoy was a sick joke. But then again, I wouldn't expect Israel to appoint someone fit for the job.

You see why Israel wants him. I can't stand the man. The region needs a neutral third party not a crony of the genociders.

Tony BLiar?
WMD Tony as a humanitarian co-ordinator😂😂😂, as if Gazans haven’t been put through enough.
Genocide co-ordinator I could understand given his track record in the Middle East.
