Stirring up hatred? I see demonstrations because of how the Israeli forces and government are treating the Palestinian people. I see pain, grief, frustration, some people will hate, others just want the killing to stop and for Palestinians to be treated like human beings, which they're currently not.

I see hatred, not by every protestor but you cannot deny that some are stirring up hatred. A genuine peace protest would have sympathy for both “sides”.

For clarity I asked Mumsnet to look at this.

I'm perfectly ok with the change of title. It doesn't change the reality or the horrors or what it calls to mind.

These human beings are being numbered & tagged & dehumanised & treated like farm animals.

Much in the way they were described by Yoav Gallant (Israeli defence minister )

We have seen this done before & it didn't end well.

Never again was what humanity said.

I'm not willing to stand by & give Israeli officials a free pass & thankfully I'm not alone.

Accuracy is important. Like wanting the thread title to be accurate. Misinformation is rife in times like these so we need to try hard.

I had a look, and one of the men has a burn on his lower arm, which might be where the branding word came from? The tags must be from when they were held prisoner, so I wonder if they are allowed to remove them inside Gaza. I will keep an open mind, as this is not something I've seen reported on the news.

If accuracy is so important to you why did you immediately challenge my post complaining about the title? Surely you would have agreed that the OP needed to change the title in order to be accurate.

That is where my title came from. I agree the title wasn't exact thus why I wrote to Mumsnet hq for help.
I also agree we should strive for accuracy & engage in good faith. Well said.

For me it's not the tags which matter as much as the fact they were sacked from their jobs, detained and then forced back into Gaza.

@FOJN I'm concerned too. I hope more news comes out about their treatment in detention and why they were sent back into a humanitarian crisis and war zone. What reason could there be if these people were cleared security wise?
