Of the 50 journalists on the ground in Gaza (residents) 35 have been killed.

If you haven’t already I highly recommend following them on instagram.

better hide from the world what it’s really happening

I was hoping that journalists would be able to enter while the fighting has paused, as it's been limited by the communication cuts and it seems most local journalists have been killed. I know Israel was refusing journalists entry before, but I don't understand how they are legally able to do this, since it isn't their own territory.

Because they’ve control about who goes in and out

@EasterIssland Must be part of the blockade. It's so stifling and squashes every opportunity for trade, cultural exchange, academic partnerships, as has been the case for years now. It's just mind blowing the amount of control Israel has over Gaza.

Did you see his response? Was heartbreaking. I can't find it now but he was talking about how these awards, once sought after, are meaningless if they come at the cost of his country

Gaza's "Ministry of Information." What do you think that is?

Hamas.

It's Hamas.

Are they renowned for their honesty?

Just nuke them and be done with it.

After all, every man, woman, child in Gaza is HAMAS right?

Every building - church, mosque, hospital, shop, home - is a HAMAS hiding place.

Everything that moves is HAMAS on the move.

Every bomb dropped is killing HAMAS.

Every number/statistic coming out of Gaza is an HAMAS lie.

Every child, woman man and baby killed is HAMAS, operative, collaborator or supporter.

Such hard, unconsionable, cruelty.

Where has your humanity gone?

Another journalist killed as soon as the truce ended

Jesus. Absolutely terrible.

71 journalists murdered in seven weeks - the relentless attempt to silence Palestinian voices is horrific.
So grateful that we have social media so everyone can still see what is happening on the ground and disregard the biased reports by the press and news.

EnoughIsay · 02/12/2023 01:09

I was in the States this week - the coverage.

Every news chanel is all for this "war".

I have never seen anything like it - zero ctritique, zero questions, wild.

Military analysts on CNN talking about "kill rates".

That's very sad to hear.

Meanwhile some Israeli "journalists" are stooping to new lows. For anyone who doesn't want to click on the picture it's a screenshot of the Jerusalem Post with a picture of a dead five month old baby named Muhammad Hani Al-Zahar. The headline claims he's a doll.

I saw footage of his mother holding him and crying and it was unbelievably sad and upsetting.

Shameful reporting. Can't believe it got printed.

That's a new low. Sadly, I can believe it. Vile behaviour, and the world sees it now.

Parkingt111 · 02/12/2023 21:46

@Toothyfruity it was later debunked as fake and that it was obviously a real baby but not after that horrible news paper printed it aswell as being spread all over twitter

Is there not enough dead children and babies that they think in the midst of the war the Palestinians are going to start looking for real life look alike dolls to fake being dead

Israel has said after the truce they are striking with great intensity. They don't hide the sheer amount of strikes carried out each day so why is it hard for people to imagine that civilians are dying including babies

Its just another attempt at dehumanising the Palestinians

You might have read the story about several men “surrounding” and belonging to Hamas. One of them is being recognised as a journalist
