Placards from antisemitic marches in London

I had written this as a response to the other thread which was closed as it was overrun by antisemitic d**ks. As I'm sure this one will be too. They can't allow us to share the truth of what is being said and done in our own home towns and cities.

Look at these images. No, they are not in the minority or unusual. Here are just a few of many, many overtly antisemitic placards from Saturday's protest in London. (And a bonus one from 2021, which the lovely John McDonnell also spoke at.)

This is MY HOME. I am Jewish. My family fled pogroms in Eastern Europe and Nazis in Germany. Those family members who didn't flee were murdered for being Jews. And here we fucking are again. In London. And people defending it.

This is NOTHING TO DO WITH ISRAEL. These are Jew-haters, the faces of hate, the faces of anger and mockery, openly calling for Jews, for me, my family, my children, my parents, to be murdered, in my home city.

And people are defending it. How the fuck do you think we feel?

'Interesting how all these ‘anti racism’ Free Palestinian people never march or show concern when other countries commit atrocities.' -@GreekDogRescue

Actually, plenty of them do march for other causes. How many of "these anti-racism Free Palestinian people" do you know to be qualified to make such a statement?

I don't know why they are covering their faces, but I have to correct you when the words of the Shahada, one of the five pillars of Islam, is referred to as a 'Hamas Headband'.

Yes I'm sure that the fact they were wearing headbands to a pro-Palesrine protest that are the same as those worn by a Palestinian terrorist group is a complete coincidence.

The met are apparently looking for them although they might have trouble since the cowards hid their faces.

I was at the march and was looking out for the kind of placards the Daily Mail always reports that I never seem to see. I didn't see a single Hamas headband. I did take note of some of placards referencing hate though:

Edited

There were 30000 people there, just because you didn't see them doesn't mean they weren't there.

Ecdysiast · 11/11/2023 18:33

Well I haven't seen any at the past 3 marches, and I've seen a lot of placards. Here are a few more from today:

Maybe all those pictures are fakes, and all the people who say they have are king, and the people who have been arrested were framed. Because you didn't see any.

I used to be very involved with the Free Tibet movement back in the day before interest in the decimation of Tibet by China waned.
Interesting how all these ‘anti racism’ Free Palestinian people never march or show concern when other countries commit atrocities. Only Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, surrounded by enemies who want it blasted to oblivion.
Maybe the Chinese are just not Jewish enough.

It’s nothing to do with Judaism and everything to do with the fact that it was the British government that thought it was acceptable to carve up Palestinian land in the first place and give it to someone else. That and the fact that our government are actively supporting this horror and telling the Israeli government that we stand by their actions.

They don’t do the same with China but if they did, I’d be saying ‘not in my name’ for Tibet too. Our

@ItsRainingTacos79 for the second time I didn't say it was......

FloweryName · 11/11/2023 19:00

There were people in todays crowd talking about seeing the trouble at the cenotaph on their phones before the march even got moving properly. There were people there to make trouble but they were nothing to do with the vast majority that were there or any of the organisers. They were streets away and would probably have turned up looking to get arrested at any protest as large as today’s.

Let’s be honest, Suella pretty much sent gold plated invitations to all the twats out there.

This is the reality in London....

Hate crimes up towards Jewish people is shocking.
Pro Palestine groups outside synagogues, Jewish homes spray painted, the pro Palestine groups are not in the name of lots of peace wanting people.

Why not have peace marches why pro Palestine? Stop the war not we support Palestine. Implies Palestine can do no wrong. I would not walk with pro Palestine. I would not walk in a simplistic one side is right eg Pro P ever. I would want peace marches

I get that the idea of 300k people seems worrying but once you realise on a football weekend Wembley alone holds 90k fans. The other big football clubs hold 60k ish. Then 300k is way way less than people just going to watch football at the weekend all over London.

Also coaches were lining up to get into London for the protest from all over the country. So a large percentage are scattered around the country and the worst offenders are probably better behaved when they haven't got the masses to back them up.

What is more of an issue is that now Jewish people are trapped between the Islamic extremists, very left and the far right. None of which exactly have are best interests at heart. So that is very dangerous and I don't think there is much we can do. I only see that situation getting worse in the next few months.
People are really blind to what is happening and how this will keep building and getting out of hand. All three of these groups were always going to escalate things eventually. Some of us haven't been trying to point out hate crimes for no reason at all. It doesn't matter who the hate crime is aimed at, what matters is that this is stopped in the west before it is too late.

Trulywonderful · 11/11/2023 23:30

Whilst it is fine to criticize politicians this is definitely not OK

Hard to believe someone can stand there smiling whilst holding this sign on a London street in 2023

A swastikas put inside a star of David on this sign

Police are looking for this person

Perhaps when they are caught and put before the court they need community service appropriate to their crime eg education. I am not sure what the punishment for hate crime is? Or whether this will be taken seriously?
I am waiting for the women to be punished (and pled not guilty) who were wearing hand- glider costume's a week after the event. That really upset me.

Trulywonderful · 11/11/2023 23:39

One of many break away groups like last weekend

Like you I doubt most these people arrested will be held accountable by the law. Be luif they get a slap on the wrist

Yes education and community service for the sign or photo holders is probably best. Most seem to ignorant to understand their own ignorance about antisemitism or hate crimes in general. As you know we have seen that on mumsnet a lot recently too.

The violent protesters and firework fuckwits need proper criminal justice throw at them though. A decent prison sentence and then education once out of prison. A judge could easily insist on this at sentencing.

I'm not sure how much education can help someone who proudly holds up a sign with a swastika or wears the uniform of a terrorist organisation.

Lovepeaceunderstanding · 12/11/2023 00:08

@BlurredEdges , it beggars belief. Until 07/10/23 I really had no idea how much antisemitism there was. I’m not Jewish by the way. All I can say is there are decent people in this country who have your backs, we don’t generally shout as loudly as the antisemites who appear to me to come largely from the mouthy left. I’m appalled at their double standards, of course I don’t want any child to suffer or die but they don’t seem to have any care whatsoever for the suffering of Jewish children, they have ‘forgotten’ how they were murdered, burned, cooked in ovens and taken as hostages. The naked antisemitism on Mumsnet is horrific.
I stand with you. 🙏🏻

I get you but learning more about the conflict and also about antisemitism can't not do them good either.

Look we all know they are unlikely to get more than a fine even if they by some miracle are charged after arrest

Most antisemitic crimes don't make it to court. Even when they do people tend to be let off with a slap on the wrist and small fine. At least if they are forced to try and understand what fuckwits they have been that would be something. Plus in some cases they actually do seem generally to not understand why something is a hate crime.

Your words, not mine @structural . I'm just sharing what I saw. Someone reading this thread (or even just its title) who'd never been to one of the marches might imagine that thousands of hateful people were marching with racist placards, promoting a racist agenda.
My point is that this march was about calling for a ceasefire and protesting against the collective punishment of an entire people. What's happening in Gaza right now is an outrage, but instead of recognising that, you prefer to go searching this or that placard (from whatever source) that you can fixate on to demonize the entire march. If you agree with what Israel's doing just say so.

I didn’t see all these people on the streets after Russian invaded Ukraine and bombed innocent civilians, nor when China invaded Tibet and much more recently committed genocide against a million Uyghur Muslims.
Funny how these pro Palestinian ‘peace’ marchers are so selective in their outrage. I’m sure anti Semitism has nothing to with this at all.

The woman's explanation doesn't surprise me

I wonder if she could manage to point out Gaza on a map.

By that definition the Holocaust was when Hitler flattened significant areas of London.
