Watch clip of Patrick Kielty addressing the conflict in the middle east on Irish tv. For those that don't know his own father was murdered in the late 80s but the UFF loyalist paramilitaries so he knows only too well the pain he's speaking about

I was disappointed considering his background and found it a lightweight corporate platitude with out any substance. Typical of the neutral stance of Ireland. Considering the conflict Ireland has experienced i expected something a bit deeper.

A lightweight corporate platitude!? Hardly. It seemed to come from the heart.

He's a great speaker and interviewer about such divisive issues, Ive seen him in a few documentaries about the troubles and about his dad.

Despite his father having been murdered during the troubles by the UFF he was always a figure in NI who reached both communities and he speaks the truth about the importance of having hope. It speaks to his true experience, hardly a corporate platitude.
