hi,i have been wondering this for the last week especially when you see the pictures of complete blitzing of buildings and amenities.Im no expert but im guessing more buildings etc in the coming weeks will be destroyed just how will Gaza be rebuilt how can they afford it.

Gaza is very poor i think, could it be a way to get better facilities and have control over their own utilities etc rather than Israel deciding or will Israel move in and take it for their own people, what happens to the palestinian's ??

Like i said i dont have a great knowledge but every time i see the buildings bombed i wonder

I often wonder what Hamas thought would happen after they committed those atrocities. Do you think they knew Israel would retaliate as they have? And if so, why do what they did in the first place? It just doesn't make sense.

I don't think Hamas thought they would manage to kill as many or take so many hostage. However I do think they know a big reaction would happen. Just know where near this big. Iran/Hamas were getting marginalised by some of the other Arab states stating to make peace with Israel. The attack happened the day before Saudi were due to do a big agreement and hand shake either Israel. Saudi wants peace in the middle east and so do many Arabs states that. Peace is good for their own stability, economy and tourism. Iran/Hamas needed to do something to disrupt this Saudi meeting and cause other Arab states to reject Israel. So they did what they did but definitely didn't think Israel would go this far. Trappings of their own mission being to successful and now lots of people will continue dieing on both sides.

I was thinking this too

Traumatised young lads... they won't forget

Nearly 50% of Gazan children have chronic PTSD. Just saying that the last few recorded terrorist attacks by lone white males were 'explained' by saying they had mental health issues.

The Israeli Defence Minister has stated their intention for “Israel to cease responsibility for life in the Gaza Strip” and sever all ties in the region, with “the establishment of a new security reality for the citizens of Israel” after Hamas is defeated. The Israelis don’t want Gaza, they never did.

Saudi don't give a shit about peace, they want to be brethren with the powers that be.

Maybe those Hamas leaders who are billionaires and millionaires could actually invest some of their suspiciously-gained wealth in Gazan infrastructure.

What break up the property portfolios, I don't think so.

More like they will run off if they haven't done already and hide out somewhere like Qatar that will not arrest them etc.

I really think the Arafat properties in London his daughter inherited should be taken back and the money used for the Palestinians as intended before he stole it. The same goes for property in the west that other Hamas or Palestinians leaders have brought. The Arabs should do the same really. It wouldn't be enough to totally rebuild or anything but would be billions.

Such a young population.

I’ve had my arse handed to me on a plate previously on here for wondering why people living in such conditions choose to have so many children.

Google disaster capitalism. There are always vultures waiting in the wings to take advantage of any natural or man-made disaster.

Saudi reasons to make peace is for their own stability and economy. There making pretty neutral and sensible noises at the moment. So areca lot of other Arab leaders and the PO. Hamas, Iran and Lebanon are not much liked really as they cause unrest in other States. Nobody in the Arab world will cry much at Hamas being gone apart from a few now outsider regimes.

Thought you'd give it another go?

This has to stop. Ok hammas need to go. But beyond that there should be no further supply for either side until peace talks commence. Leaving the status quo has resulted in this mess.

I don't disagree with this - but what I don't understand is didn't Hamas see that this would happen as a result of their attack. I've asked on another thread - what did Hamas think Israel would actually do?

I did at first wonder if Muslim polygamy was happening there. A lot of the Somali Muslims in my area of London have wives in different cities. It would account for more children than adults if the men took more than one wife. However after looking at figures I realised that isn't the situation in Gaza. In fact citizens have held off Hamas in possessing Taliban type laws. They have had riots and everything about modest dress etc laws trying to get made.

So many children born in the last 18 years, poor lambs.

Are you saying there should be no humanitarian aid to Palestinians who are being bombed to bits by Israel as we speak with essentially no humanitarian aid in the last two weeks having lived under apartheid in Gaza for the last 15 years?

Really? Is that your contribution?

You do know they also have real weapons don't you?

You think they only have home made rockets? For a start home made rockets can't reach the distances some of the Israeli hits by Hamas has managed. Plus the are not enough pipes in the whole of Gaza to have been firing rockets since the pogrom in Israel. All the news outlets around the world have been reporting this constant bombing both sides are doing. Israel has the iron dome so can keep a lot of missiles away by blowing them up mid air. However this is not perfect and the odd one gets through. There are people on both sides livestreaming all this too. You need to watch a different channel or something and maybe research online what weapons Hamas uses these days.

Below is an example of the missiles they used in the biggish 2021 conflict

How will Gaza be rebuilt??

The impact of those missiles can take out buildings and kill people but not obliterate whole towns. I mean even Israel isn't firing something that big into Gaza. It would be an international incident on an even bigger scale if someone did that. You are talking really heavily duty stuff there. Israel also have the iron dome which like I said manages to blow up most fired at them. However this stuff is still being fired at Israel. Hence the reason they built such a good defence system. Hamas started firing missiles at Israel on the day of the pogrom and have been doing so ever since. Do your research and look at different sources to find out for yourself about what weapons are used by Hamas. Also look are were they have been reported to smug weapons from.

You want me to do your research for you? I am not your mother, got my own kids that need to be told to do their homework thanks. You were going on about watching a certain channel that I told was bias a fair amount of the time. I also suggested you need to watch various news channels to have a decent picture of the situation. I mean you have also said they are using pipe bombs like that is there only projectile. Everyone knows that hasn't been true for years. It would be beneficial for you to research and broaden what you watch/read about the conflict. Then you be able to work out if social media reports etc sound right too.
