Hey everyone, I was previously alien82!

Anyways, I had my coil removed 3 weeks ago and have had no signs of time of the month, we are not using any protection now but not sure what is happening! how long should we wait to test?

thanks for any advice, beginning to panic that my body won't go back to normal

Don't panic!

I can take some time for your body to sort its self out after stopping contraception, particularly if you have had it in for some time. Everyone is differant and some people can take a while before their first period. after I had my merina out I got my period quite quickly but it took about 3-4 months before they stopped being all over the place and settled down to a regular pattern.

You can test whenever you want, it is possible that you could be pregnant already though it's probably worth giving it another week I would have thought. If you haven't started AF or got a BFP in another couple weeks then go see the doctor who will be able to check all is ok and reasure you.

thanks I am off on holiday at the end of this month which will be 6 weeks since having Mirena removed, if nothing has happened after the holiday, I think Ill call up docs and see if they can make me feel a little more reassured It is such a horrible feeling- the not knowing if I can have kiddies x
