Slim chance I'm pregnant??

Hi everyone. My period is 3 days late and I'm normally 28 days, very very rare for me to have anything other than a 28 day cycle. I've done 4 pregnancy tests in the last 5 days and they are all BFN. The one I did this morning had a very very faint line which went darker after about 15 minutes (i.e. well outside the 3 minutes!) When I got pregannt with DS the test had a really dark 'pregnant' line a day before AF was due.

So, my question is, is it still possible I'm pregnant? Or am I kidding myself?

I would go by the previous negative results and do not keep testing.

Sometimes even normally fertile women have the occasional anovulatory cycle; that is normal and may be what has happened here.

Do not look at tests past the window time of three minutes; what you may have seen was an evaporation line.

Was the faint line there within the 3 minutes and then got darker later? If so I would say a line is a line and you are probably pregnsnt!

anovulatory cycle: is that when you don't ovulate? Does that mean you wouldn't have a period?

pushmepullyou, I like your answer best x x x
The faint line was there within the 3 minutes but it was very very very very very faint!!!

However, my heart tells me Attila is probably more on the right lines.

TTC is too stressful, I'm going nuts and it's only month 1 of trying. I'll crack up soon!

It is possible have periods when you are not ovulating.

I think you should be only testing when you are at least 7 days late and not before then.
Be kind to yourself; you do not want to stress yourself out like this only one month into ttc. It may take up to 12 months to conceive.

The tests I used were cheapy tesco ones. Think the 2 pack was only about £4. Are the cheaper ones less reliable?

When in the day did you do your test - was it first thing in the morning? Your test will be more accurate then... I'd buy a 'better' test and try again first thing tomorrow...

...and then come back here and update us with your news

Well, couldn't wait until tomorrow so I went to boots for a First Response test and . . .BFP BFP FBP!!! Line is faint but definite. Don't actually feel happy though, finding it too hard to believe. Will do the other test in the morning and see if the line is darker.

I'm only just starting ttc and finding it hard not too get dragged in - must remain relaxed about whole process - is the mantra i am repeating! Fingers crossed for you tho!!
