Increasing my luteal phase

Hi,

I'm TTC number 2 and have realised I have a 5-7 day luteal phase.
From reading around on here I've found out that I can take B6, agnus castus, progesterone cream and evening primrose.

I just wondered should I talk to my doctor before taking any suppliments? (Am breastfeeding.) And can anyone recommend brands/products to use? There seems so many out there! I'm also trying to drop feeds at the moment and have at least one period of at least six hours between feeds.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Gingerbaby,

Being an EX Holand and Barrett employee I would certainly recommend consulting your doctor before taking any supplement whilst TTC & Breastfeeding.

You can actually overdose on certain supplements to which won't do you any good. I'm TTC at the mo and am currently taking High Strength Omega 3, High Strength Evening Primrose Oil and a Prescribed dose of high strength Folic acid - the prescribed Folic acid is due to a Nueral Tube disorder with my last pregnancy. I double checked however, that the others would be ok but have been advised that should I fall PG I must stop the Evening Primrose oil and only carry on with the Omega 3 and Folic acid until I'm 3 months.

Hope that helps a little.

Good luck hun x
