Smear Test & TTC??

Am due a smear test and been ttc for 7-8 months...
They ask for it to be done mid cycle, just when you want to be doing the deed... Now If I get a smear done this afternoon will I be ok to ttc in the next day or so?

I don't really want to take a month off if I can help it but not sure what to do for the best.
I gather results come back in a week... if there is a problem and then I find I am pregnant what would happen?!

Have your smear test. If (and it's a small if) there is a problem the doctors can advise you on the way forward. You can keep TTCing. I unwittingly had my smear test just about when my baby would have been implanting and everything is fine so far.

It really isn't worth putting it off in case this is the month!

Well see I could get an appointment for next wednesday (having it this avo is at a drop in clinic somewhere a bit random to where I live) but that wouldn't be midcycle, would be about day 21, is that ok then?
Worried the smear may put me out of action just at the crucial time...

Just did a google (why didn't I do it b4 posting I don't know) aparently some people have smears in their 1st trimester as a matter of course... So will book for next wednesday.
