We're 'ttc' DC2, in the same way we ttc'd DS, just coming off contraception, not charting or anything (especially as my periods are all over the place)....but clearly something psychological has kicked into overdrive as I'm hornier than I've been for aaaaaaaaaaaaaages

Anyone else out there already impatient with taking it patiently?!

If your periods are "all over the place" this can often be due to hormonal imbalances which do not self correct. Would therefore seek medical advice asap. The GP can do blood tests to see what your hormone levels are like.

Yes, can totally relate to the horny thing. Since we've decided to stop using contraception I can't get enough! Just thinking about sex makes me want to go and leap on DH! And the idea is we'll just "not prevent pregnancy" and see what happens. What age gap will you hvae if you get pregnant now? We'd have a 3 year gap exactly if I got pregnant this month.

thanks Attila....I'm going to see if they settle down for a few months first though as this is what it's been like all my life, had various tests at various stages and nothing conclusive. Been basically told I probably just produce less eggs than most women

taking the plunge, we'd have 2.5, I want 3 max so maybe have left it a bit late already

I would warn you now that if your periods have always been irregular they will likely remain so.

My periods have been "all over the place" all my adult life as well. The cause of this in my case was PCOS. This condition should be looked for as well as thyroid imbalance. What you've been told is partly correct but not actually why this is.

What tests have you had done to date?. Internal ultrasounds, blood tests?.

hmmmm, food for thought - good point, will make an appointment. Hasn't been looked into for quite a while (since I was a teenager), they mainly looked into thyroid imbalances.

I guess I'm a bit 'take it as it comes' at the moment because I fell with DS in the first month of trying...
