TMI ALERT!

I'm wondering if someone with more knowledge then me can answer a little question.

I've been ttc for about 6 months now and have been keeping an eye on my cm for about 3 months. I have a 24 day cycle and have noticed that on about cd5 every month I get this big sticky lump of cm. It's a proper lump, like glue or something, it's stretchy but definately solid.

Any ideas on what this is? I'm just curious really as I haven't read anything about cm being like this.

Yes it means you are ovulating. This is the time you are most likely to conceive

This is ewcm? I thought ewcm was more, you know, egg whitey. This doesn't seem all that sperm friendly to me as it's just a sticky lump rather then a stretchy mucus. Also it's more cloudy than clear. I get clear stretchy stuff around cd11 which I thought was ewcm.

I'm so confused! Maybe I should try temping instead...or just stop worrying about it

If it is sticky, then it won't be EWCM. Doesn't sound too sperm-friendly to me. If you get regular EWCM later then I wouldn't worry about it

I had this and I asked my Dr he said it indicates ovulation comes before EWCM. I have been pregnant many times and always conceived in the first month. So definitely not something that would be a problem to chances of conception.
