Hello ladies - me again!! Decided to have a break for a while as I was wondering whether daily posting about TTC was beginning to have a negative effect. However, it doesn't seem to have made a blind bit of difference so I thought I'd come back for some moral support!! So I'm on CD27 and really thought I'd cracked it this month too as I had loads of symptons...but yesterday I got some tell-tale spotting so I reckon that AF is on it's way....

Have also had my internal scan which from a positive perspective shows that all is OK. Day 21 and Day1-5 blood tests have also come back clear...so looks like it's just more bd'ing for me !!

Hello to all the new people and congrats to Worried Bev and Peepee! As for all us old-timers .......well let's hang on in there, think positive and we will get our beanies soon!

Stats:

Me: 36
dh: 41
dd: 23 months
TTC #2: 6 months

munz · 16/08/2005 08:54

congrats peepee.

MM - relaxing def helps I think,

debs - congrats on the persona, now all u have to do is POAS and relax, then BD like mad during the red days! - don't be too upset if u don't get the 'O' on ur first month as not everyone does.

really hoping u old gals get there soon.

hula - it has to be ur turn next. - u started around the same time as me I think.

romilly · 16/08/2005 11:25

debbsy - well done on getting persona dont think i'd be where i am now if it weren't for that brilliant gadget. mind you, i did use temping too which was also brilliant. left nothing to chance!

milosmum · 16/08/2005 14:08

welcome back handbag!!

HandbagAddiction · 16/08/2005 15:27

Thanks Milosmum - let's hope the more realxed approach to TTC will be fruitful for both of us....although I'm not sure I'm going to be able to resist peeing on sticks when CD12/13/14, etc. comes around......

peepee · 16/08/2005 17:49

Been to see the prof today.

Had a scan. Too early for any real result. Just a black dot which could possibly be beany.

Have been perscribed 75mg aspirin a day, progesterone which has to be inserted and a low dose heparin jab. All of this daily and for 34 weeks. I thought it would be only for 12 weeks. Oh well......As long as I get a healthy baby at the end of it! Have to go back in 2 weeks for a scan. Hopefully we will see a bit more. I am quite excited.

Have no idea what to do about work. I do a high risk job where I could be assaulted at any time. This will be the third time that I would,ve been telling them that I am pregnant. It really buggers them up cos I have to be taken off operational work and put behind a desk. As soon as you do that the whole work place realises what is going on. Nothing is private.

I have to sit down with dh and work out wots best.

It is great being back on here. Thanks for all your support and good wishes.

PeePee x

milosmum · 16/08/2005 19:36

oh peepee- just think it will all be worth it! good luck!

handbag-i actually caved on cd16 and poas as my cm looked promising and it was +.... so i know what you mean about caving!- i think a little at a time, instead of being bogged down by it all..

Debs, Charlee- hows things?

hello to everyone- now too many to mention individually

Hulababy · 16/08/2005 19:38

Good luck peepee; it'll be worth it.

I have a similar work situation by the sounds of it. I only found out about that last week though. Once I know I am pg (even if really early) I have to tell them and I am no longer allowed any contact with inmates apparantly - not sure what I will do instead though???

I think you are best to tell them though - just in case.

Hulababy · 16/08/2005 19:39

I hope so munz; I started TTC a year ago now.

Hulababy · 16/08/2005 19:39

Good morning everyone...

Need advice on when the best day to test is and what test to buy in advance. Are there any reliable ones that work a few days before missed period. I'm so rubbish at waiting! We were so going for the relaxed approach this time for TTC, even if it takes a couple of years we'll just see what happens etc. Fine in theory but I seem to be convinced I'm pregnant and feeling like its too long to wait till my period comes to know one way or another. Plus been invited for a huge night out at the weekend and dont want to pickle any unsuspecting beanies! So what test, when and how much?

Thanks guys, hope you're all feeling positive this month too

munz · 17/08/2005 08:49

debs - stick with the AG, but expect AF to come early, lest that's what I found on it, and it made me feel sick if I didn't eat with it. they did a study on it in which 100 women tested 77 (I think it was) got PG and the remainder had imporved hormone levels. think it was a 6 month study so fingers crossed, but not sure if u can take it when u're PG as there's conflicting advice on that so to be safe I only took it up to OV once DH was home.

nimmles · 17/08/2005 09:07

hello, can i join in please?! :0
This month we're going to start ttc no.2, our dd is nearly 1 and took 6 months to conceive (with me taking AC for 3 months). Tried to take it again last cycle (as i have fairly long cycles and a 10 day LP) but ended up oving really late and had the worst worst AF ever (sorry tmi but massive clots, the works!) So not sure how much luck i'll have without it, or whether my body has even settled back down yet but am excited about all the trying!
i'm 30, work full time and miss my dd like mad!
xx

Harrizeb · 17/08/2005 09:42

Morning ladies, Welcome to all the new ladies, wishing you short and fruitful stays with us. Handbag!! hello how are ya? it's good to see you again.

MM, Debbsy, Hula, Bella (if your lurking), Charlee, Munz, Friz, Jag. (heavy breathing after reeling off all those names) Hello.

Well I am on CD16, and got some spotting not sure what that's all about as it's not something I've had before. Hoping DH is back tonight, from a phone call this morning he's not going to be up for bd as it sounds like he may have put his neck out over night. That's if he manages to limp home yet.

Take care and have a good day, hope you have sunshine where you are.

Harrizeb · 17/08/2005 09:45

Hockeymum,

I can't help with personal experience, but I do remeber this link being posted before and it might help?
