EWCM question

Just a quick one ref the timing of ovulation and appearance of EWCM - does anyone know if the EWCM peaks before you ovulate, or as you ovulate?

For example, my EWCM peaked late on Saturday, and disappeared by Sunday afternoon. Does this mean I ovulated sometime Sunday or on Saturday? My plan was SWI-ing on Saturday night, but this was foiled by DD1 spending most of the night awake and screaming for mummy so we did it Sunday night instead. Do you think we have missed the boat this month, or that the timing is right?

TIA

I think once you see it you go for it during the duration?

Thanks Pipoca, should have added the EWCM started to appear last Sunday and we have done the deed three times since then, including last night. It was just that it was appearing in fairly small amounts and then there was loads on Saturday, so I assumed this would have been the best time to go for it! Sod's law that this was the one time we were prevented from doing it!

EWCM is there because sperm can survive in it for a few days, and it helps them swim up through the cervix, so I wouldn't worry too much if you've had sex three times whilst it was there. Apparently sperm can live for 3-6 days in you when there's EWCM. Good luck!
