Really early pregnancy test

Hi,

I've never been on these boards before, but I was hoping that someone might know something before I go into meltdown! I got married a month ago and stopped using contraception, but haven't really been trying to get pregnant. My AF (I'm learning the lingo!) isn't due until the 15th but I did one of those First Response pregnancy tests this afternoon, as I've been feeling a bit odd, and my boobs are really sore, and there is definitely a faint pink second line there!

Could I be pregnant? Are these tests accurate that far in advance? I'm freaking out, I don't even know whether to tell my DH, he doesn't know I too the test! Eeeeeekk....

Think they're supposed to very accurate.
Cross fingers for you

Congratulations! I was in exactly your situation (sore boobs well before missed period, waited til i could do first response, faint pink line), and now that faint pink line is asleep in her cot!!!

Congratulations! They are very good at showing up a result super early

Wow. Thank you. How terrifying. I read somewhere (I have been doing a lot of trawling of the internet) that these very early BFPs can often disappear and if one hadn't done the test then you wouldn't know any different when AF comes. I guess I will have to keep fingers crossed. Thanks again, really glad I came on here

You're talking about chemical pregnancy where the pregnancy doesn't implant properly and you bleed as normal or a few days later than expected. It's only early testing that means we know how common these things are.

But try not to worry about that. You're having symptoms, you have a positive test. It's all looking just as it should. You are pregnant.

Congratulations.
