Hello Mums!

I'm new here, so be gentle

Basically this is my recent relevant background.

Me and my husband have been together for six years. We've always used condoms as contraception.

Recently, I've had some mental health issues, so they suggest it could be hormonal, and I should go on the pill to help control my hormones (it's worth a shot)

At the same time, we had a pregnancy "scare" because my period was a bit late, we did a test and that came back negative - and we actually found that quite upsetting.

So, we thought about it for a few days and decided to try for a baby.

SO FAR, so good.

I was on the pill for just five days!

So, we are now actively trying to make a baby, and what happens? I start bleeding!

So, I phone a sexual health line and the informed me that this is quite normal when you've come off the pill, and that actually I'm having a period.

So, while that makes sense, this throws up the question on when the hell am I ovulating?

Do I count from the first day of my normal period, or do I count from today?

I know its not exact, but what we decided was to have sex every second day when I'm not ovulating, and sex every day when the calenders say I am...

ANY help and advice would be MUCH appreciated

Thanks

Lo

Never been on the pill, but I assume you still count the first day of bleeding as CD1. I'm sure someone who knows more than me will be along in a moment, bumping for you!
