I was told to take folic acid while trying to conceive but when i asked for in in the health shop i was giving multi-vitamins (solgar Formula V 75? Is this correct as i am a bit confused? If not can anyone tell me the best supplements to take please?

I got folic acid on it's own from the supermarket. It's about £1.30 for 90 tablets, 400 micrograms in each, take one daily.

There are all sorts of other things you can look at taking, and special Conception vitamin mixes available, but folic acid is the most important for health of future baby.

i think you're meant to avoid multi-vits as they have vit a included, which doesn't aid conception, some of them say it on the packet, usually in teeny writing! Smile
