Can thrush stop you producing EWCM

Help! I am in month 4 of TTC. I'm 33, overweight, and came off Cerazette in January. I've always had very regular periods and, although I wasn't looking out for it, noticeable EWCM before going on the pill. Since coming off the pill I've also had on and off thrush. I've tried using cream and a pessary, which I was told was safe if TTC, but it hasn't cleared particularly. Although there was EWCM in the first month, since then it's been very thin and only around for about half a day. I'm planning next cycle to try Robotussin but would I be better off taking a month out, using the oral stuff to see if the thrush clears, and then trying again? I've had very obstinate thrush before so I'm worried I'll waste months trying to clear it up, but then if it's stopping us conceiving, do I have any choice? Is the EWCM just less because I am 33 and getting too old? Am really miserable about it all.

Hello do you find the thrush is worse at any particular time of the month? Thrush usually occurs with the hormonal changes, and this is why its started since you came off the pill. Its not your age at all, but what I would do is ask your practice nurse to do some swabs to ensure its not some type of other infection. Lastly - are you sure your not pregnant? Thrush is very common amongst early pregnancy. Thrush shouldnt stop the EWCM, but it might disguise it.
