Need a witty comeback...help!

For when Im asked if Im pregnant yet , the answer to which is no Im not yet, ~(ttc#3)

I know I'll get "Are you trying?" etc etc

Basically it is a good friend that will ask these questions.... and I just want a witty comeback that tells her to bugger off and stop asking, but without being rude/aggressive/touchy...

So far Ive just been saying there is "nothing to tell yet" or "dont worry I'll keep you posted"..

Anyone help?

Or try being honest, "Bog off, since when is it completely acceptable to quiz people about their sex life - when I'm pregnant you'll know because I'll have a bump."

I have a similar problem. People (work colleagues especially) keep asking when we are having our first child. I used to say we needed to buy a house first, but now we have done that and I don't know what to say. We have been trying for over a year.

I am fed up of my friend keep asking me this too. I wish I never told her I was TTC I might turn around soon and say " no we had to stop for a bit cuz I've worn DP willy out!!!"

Why on earth do people think they have the right to ask? I do remember being asked in work "Were you trying long?" As ds1 was a happy accident, it was very hard to know how to answer as I didn't want people to think he wasn't wanted. He was, just not expected at that point in time!

You don't need a witty comeback.

"I'd prefer not to talk about it" will suffice.

I've started replying 'not in the next 9 months' when I'm asked when we're having the next one. Isn't it odd how you always seem to get those questions when you've just had another BFN?!

I was at a lunch with a group of childless friends(seriously not into babies, all on career ladders etc) ... This was planned for ages and for months Ive had this wee fantasy of being preggo and having to refuse alcohol etc and being mysterious but then them guessing etc. Silly huh?

Of course, Im not pg and had to put up with the jibes about trying etc. I even had to put up with my Best friend saying "oooh #3, how will you stop there? why not keep on going...?"

I wanted to tell her to shut up! sigh....

"oh yes, we are trying like a pair of fucking rabbits. I'm bow-legged and dh's nuts are the size of raisins, but all in a good cause!"

I've just come back from a wedding where pretty much all the couples there have a kids or are currently pregnant.
DH & I have been married the longest out of that group and have been together waaaaaay before any of them so cue the "so any plans for children" questions"

I got a bit fed up with the "we'll see" response, so started being pretty damn blunt - "as a matter of fact we've had plans for the last three years and all that bought us was one miscarriage"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awww Im sorry IfatFirst, It is so frustrating I know,. See Ive already got 2, DD and DS the "whole package" as someone I know scathingly put it Apparantly Im just being ridiculous wanting #3, I dont "need" anymore do I?

They just dont have anything else to talk to me about anymore Cos I'm a sahm and not on a career ladder.

Even my brother asked me today . Since when has that been normal practice? I told him to get stuffed, cos you can do that with brothers. With friends/colleagues it's a bit more difficult. I like Decaf's suggestion too.

Drives me madtoo. Why don't people realise that it's just not polite? We're ttc #4 and since Saturday 5th June, ie, the last 72 hours, I have had three people ask me if I am pg (hmm, maybe am looking particularly fat curvy at present)
