I am 37 years old and have a beloved 4 year old son. I have always wanted a large family and am upset to find myself single again at 37 and unable to find Mr Right. I am not upset about being single, but am upset about not being able to give my boy a brother or sister to grow up with. I am financially stable, own my own home, have a child friendly job and a great network of friends. Has anyone used a donor to concieve a child? What were your experiences and if it worked, have you ever regretted it? I do want to find love again in the future, but think due to my biological ticking clock I may have to have a child and then find the love of my life! Mumsnet mums are always so honest and I would appreciate your thoughts . Thanks x

You sound like you're trying to persuade us!

I was considering this. I read a very good book by Mikki Morrissete called single mothers by choice. It definitely helped me make a decision.
