Abdominal Cramps?!

Hi All,

(This is my first post BTW, so hopefully its ok!)

Iv been having abdominal cramps for the last week or so...

Had them previously (lasting around 2-3weeks), thought was possibly 'implantation cramps' but was told by docs that it was a Urinary Infection, but even after I finished the antibiotics the cramps continued...I was absolutely convinced I was pg so, took a pg test and it showed a very faint line, took another one two days after and there was no line

Could these recent pains actually be implantation cramps or am I just hoping and praying they are lol!?

TIA

Hi, as it was your first post did not want it to go unanswered. Hope you enjoy being part of mn.

Implantation cramps are not that common, and do not last long generally. If you had a positive one day and then negatives after, it is possible you had a chemical prengnacy where it did not implant properly, or a faulty hpt. is your af actually late then, is this why you went to the docs. It could be that you ov'd late with a urine infection possibly and that you have been getting ovulation cramps.

I have had implantation cramps every time I have had a BFP, and they continue afterwards up to about 6 weeks. The initial ones are sharp stinging pains, then after about a week they settle down to what feels like the first twinges of period pain.
