I've just started taking sanatogen mum-to-be vitamins and was wondering if it's still ok to take evening primrose oil capsules simultaneously? I need these for my awful pms as not actively trying to conceive for another couple of months.
Any ideas?

Hi Piggy, I've been taking EPO from CD1 until ovulation (to regulate my cycles). I've heard that it can cause uterine contractions, so is best avoided following ovulation (just in case you are pregnant).

I think I read somewhere that flaxseed oil can be used instead of EPO for the second half of the cycle - but someone might come along who knows more about that than I do.

Oh lovely thanks for getting back to me babyvalentine. I'll have a look into the flaxseed oil as a possible replacement - don't think I (or dp) could go cold turkey on the epo pre af !!

Hi there,
I've been taking Agnus Castus to regulate cycles - do you or does anyone have any experience with this? I find it does seem to speed me up, (normally otherwise I have very long and unpredictable cycles) and have been told it's good for pms too. However it also seems to give me very low-level slight bleeding between the end of my period up to just after I (think I) ovulate. Anyone else take this and get this effect?

Hi frelly,
just wanted to let you know that I'm studying naturopathy and we did a class on how people are randomly taking herbs like Agnus Castus while ttc. We have a medical herbalist in class and she was explaining that the herb has contra-indications with medication people take every day. I just wanted to let you know incase this is causing your bleeding. Google it with your medication and see what you come up with. Don't mean to scare you but I thought it was worth knowing.
