5th cycle clomid- do I keep trying?

Hi, I'm 31 and on 5th cycle clomid after 3 years ttc. I've been very relaxed about trying for a baby as we have dd who is 3.5 and she took 2 1/2 yrs to conceive without help.
However I'm not enjoying being on clomid (feel sick/ bloated) and wonder if it's worth keeping going as despite ovulating now i'm starting to feel discouraged and am also bored of how unromantic it's making me feel!

What would you do if you stopped; would you persue other options? Is there any signs it might not work for other reasons (e.g. I ovulated on clomid but it made my uterine lining very thin; so stopped earlier that the 6 cycles and conceived with first IUI treatment).

That's interesting, and how great you found another option and that it worked. That's wonderful! I am still pestering Dh to have his sperm tested as he was meant to before i started clomid and just won't! Otherwise i have considered adoption even before we had dd and despite its many challenges. But I do feel quite sad that dd doesn't have a sibling close in age.

My mum was on Clomid for 5 years before she conceived my sister. I was 6 when my sis was born and although we're not close in age, we get on really well.

TakeLovingChances that's encouraging, thank you. I do wonder what will happen in our case and will certainly post here if ever have happy news of another pregnancy!
