So have i messed my cycle up?

Right me and DH decided a few weeks ago that now is the time to ttc for bambino number 2 so there and then i stopped my pill mid packet.

Have i messed up my system as am now on day 18 of my cycle and have not ovulated as yet ( am using ovulation sticks ) where as last time i picked up positive for ovulation on day 16 + 17.

Any ideas

Hi Nicola, am sure you will be fine, may take a while for the hormones to get out of your system and for you to ovulate. Not sure how much of a difference stopping mid cycle vs end of packets makes (haven't been on the pill for years) However I have just come off hormone treatment (for other reasons) and I didn't ovulate till day 19 after stopping.

Good luck and make sure you keep BD regularly (just in case you miss your LH surge on the OPKs)

Some say it can take up to a year to get the Pill out of your system, don't know if that is true but it will def take a while to settle back down. Good luck!
