Oh how exciting!
How old is DC1?

DitaVonCheese · 14/05/2010 22:56

I assumed I would be completely relaxed about DC2/barely notice it due to looking after DD.

In fact I was INSANE. Still am a bit. Blame hormones.

Good luck

Nicolaplus1 · 15/05/2010 08:19

Lol not at all, it's easy to read it that way from my post

I was surprised how hard I found it though. I think I know this time around what I am missing out on, whereas with DD I wasn't too bothered. Plus I feel so guilty for not giving her a sibling Plus it's taking so much longer this time!

CluckyKate · 16/05/2010 23:30

Totally agree with you Dita...am on month 2 of TTC no.2. Was a real career-girl before DD arrived and never expected to enjoy motherhood this much, but having experienced the wonderful joy of being a mother I'm desparate to have another (and another after that but don't tell my husband!!!).

First time round was a piece of cake and the expectation is that this one will be the same - can't help but feel disappointed that we didn't get it on our first cycle like last time but know, in my heart of hearts, that that was a real fluke.

Would also love to go on Mat leave before Xmas - if I get PG now I could just about manage it.

So....am on the 2WW and should be able to test next weekend. All fingers, toes etc. crossed.

xxx.

Another anxious ttc-no2-er here too! dc1 was a happy accident and now on cycle 3 of ttc2 and i'm going out of my mind. Actually worried I miight have secondary infertility, how ridiculous is that. Would only admit that on here, not in RL as I know it's crazy.

But same as you ladies, I think it's because you know what you have to look forward to.

Good luck everyone!

Bensmum76 · 17/05/2010 13:08

Hi all. Am currently ttc n2 also (not right at this moment - that would be totally inappropraiate as I am at work!) and its taking a wee bit longer than we expected. Our DS is 2.6 years old and we always wanted a gap of 3+ years. With DS we got pregnant straight away and I guess we thought it would happen that quickly this time but alas we are not on cycle 3.
I am worried that my luteal phase (time between ovulation and period) is too short so am taking 40mg vitamin b6 a day along with my multivitamins and generally freaking out that it will never happen!!
Lets hope we all end up pregnant soon or i think we all go insane!!

debka · 17/05/2010 13:12

Yep, know how you all feel, I'm also TTC #2 after DD1 was a very happy accident, my biggest problem is trying to get DH (who has just given up smoking) to SWI, so frustrating!

LittleSilver · 17/05/2010 19:12

I am ttc #4 and believe me it's mad

wellbalanced · 17/05/2010 21:12

Im ttc No2 too, its driving me mad 3 of my friends (all with 12&13mth DC) are pregnent, its killing me stupid i know!
Also this has to be our last month of ttc this week due to timing of many things!!!

DitaVonCheese · 17/05/2010 21:50

I also worry about secondary infertility, even though I know it must be very rare, and that I'm lucky to have DD. My mum's best friend, who has become a friend of mine over the years too, couldn't have a second child so it all seems a bit real

Bensmum I wanted an 18 month age gap - and DD is 19 months!

Good luck to all of us
