Hi Ladies,

Welcome ljg.

Sorry AF got you vnewmummy and Starlet.

We're on the move this weekend so will shortly be without the internet [what will I do with myself!?!] until next Thursday.

So hoping that I'll be coming back to at least one BFP announcement on here. It won't be me just yet as I am only a few days into the 2ww and won't test unless I am v. late.

Been looking at private fertility clinics as I've found out that the waiting lists around my area for appointments at the fertility clinic are very very long. Hopefully, it won't come to that. Come on lucky 9.

Good luck all.

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 08/07/2010 20:19

Evening All,

Hi giraffemummy Day 27 for me too, think my sore tummy today was trapped wind cos when I got in the car to come home from work I couldn't stop farting LOL (TMI I know) but I was making myself laugh!!! Good job I didn't have to give anyone a lift!! Don;t really have any AF symptoms, not like I would usually do and I'm due on tomorrow?

chocciechip don't you worry about me hun, I've got ooodles of will power (for some unknown reason) when it comes to testing. Even gave one of my tests away today, turns out it was a BFN for my friend. We even tried to come up with ways to make it a BFP like warming it in her cleavage or spitting on it or just drawing another red line - how we laughed......

xx

Hi I am new here!
Just started using my monitor!

any advice?

Lychees · 08/07/2010 22:34

Hi Brewster. Just make sure you do everything it asks of you to give it a good chance to learn your cycle.

Storm, it all sounds very promising [perhaps not the windiness specifically] . Good Luck.

Like effin Clockwork I'm telling ya, AF arrived today!!! What dya know! and I have to be honest and say I was kinda convinced, I'd been doing all the positive thinking and everything. So it got here at about 10am - I'll set my mnitor in the morning but not sure if it should be set to day 1 or 2? Any advice?
Still feel really dizzy though......WHY? I know you can fabricate symptoms when your desperate but I'm not kidding, I had every symptom like I did last time apart from sore boobs. Never Mind, onwards and upwards!

So here's the new stats, I've put myself back to day 1, depending on the advice it may still be day 1 tomorrow too.

Happy Birthday babyhoping if its today.

Congrats on the highs and the peaks ljg

I have 9 CBFM tests left, should I use these next cycle or buy a new pack??

Welcome Brewster Good luck to you hun.

Got a bottle of vino chilling in the fridge, haven't had a wine since last AF so can't wait.

Bit xx

vnewmummy · 09/07/2010 17:47

Storm - sorry AF got you. I would set it as day 1 tomorrow. If you ovulate before you get to end of test sticks I think 9 will be fine.

Girls, today I went for a gyno scan to check out follicle growth and to see if clomid 100mg is working. It is! However this is the 2nd time that the scan shows I have just ovulated but only got highs on CBFM. I am not convinced peak days are peak days? I think it is a couple of days before peak if that makes sense.

The good news is I have good chance this month so FX!

Have a good weekend - enoy the sun xx

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 09/07/2010 21:34

Good Luck for this month vnewmummy Glad the Clomid is working for you hun.

Does anyone here chart their temperature? I'm interested in finding out a bit more about it but wouldn't know where to start....any advice. What exactly does charting your temp achieve? Is there any point in doing this as well as using the CBFM.

Thanks guys xx

Lychees · 09/07/2010 21:49

That's good news vnewmummy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Sorry AF arrived, Storm. I don't chart but I'm think a few of the other ladies on here do or have done.

ljg, I've heard of BFPs occuring when bd only happened on the first peak day so it can definitely happen.

Happy birthday or belated birthday wishes, BabyHoping.

Evening, everyone else.

It's been a tough day. My [g colleague was talking about hearing her baby's heartbeat and asked me about best time to take maternity leave. Then, I find out a ex-colleague who I supported through her difficult pregnancy about two or three years ago but who started ignoring my calls etc, cancelling on me etc when her first baby arrived [i.e. she froze me out] is now 20 weeks pregnant with #2.

I'm trying hard to let these things go over my head but you can't help but let it affect you.

I'm about 3dpo but have been stressed out at work and home so already think that we can't possibly have done it this month. PMA is dwindling today. can anyone give me a boost, please?

chocciechip · 09/07/2010 23:50

storm I chart - and think its an excellent thing to do Happy to give you some tips but to get you going, have a look at Fertility Friend, they have good charting tutorials, and if you want to buy the definitive all-knowing book on it, order yourself a copy of 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility'. There's a great support thread on charting over here. You need to buy yourself a BBT thermometer - very important its one of those because .1 of a degree makes a difference.

giraffemummy · 10/07/2010 07:57

Hello Ladies,

Well temps are falling here and AF no doubt imminent. Feeling very disheartened. Have removed myself from the stats list as going to take a break from Mumsnetting for this month coming.

Giraffemummy Good Luck, hope the next time we see you here its to tell us all about a lovely BFP....

Lychees Chin up honeypie....I'm sorry you had such a tough day. Its such a rollercoaster this TTC lark, I'm sure your PMA will soon return XXX

chocciechip thanks for the advice on chrting I'll certainly have a look into it - do you think its helped even though your using the CBFM??

Hi EVERYONE ELSE
Hope you're all ok - its very very hot where I live at the mo so I spent all day yesterday in the sunshine, it was bliss....hoping to do the same again today and just totally relax. I'm looking forward to this week - only 4 days at work and then Friday off to indulge in that well earned Spa Day DH purchased for me. WooHoo!!

Enjoy your Sunday girls.

Much Love XX

Keziahhopes · 12/07/2010 12:40

Hope all going ok for everyone.
Guess am so frustrated right now - had all tests, now just waiting for treatment plan and funding from NHS and see consultant ...

one positive is I have kept my BMI below the magic 30 needed for NHS treatment for 3months now, just need to keep on lowering it.

BabyHoping · 12/07/2010 12:55

Hum... I swear I added a post this morning but can not find it! Well, it was just to thank you for all the birthday wishes!

vnewsmummy when you get a peak in the monitor it means the LH hormone has been detected and you will probably ovulate in the next 36 hours. So you do not really ovulate right after getting the peak but its teh best time to start BDing.

I went back to the doctor today... Also in the morning I got my firts peak of the month. They checked if the sperm from last BDing was happy, it was ;-). Also, the egg had reached a good size and doctor told me indeed I was ovulating but the egg had not left the ovarium yet. He gave me a shot of ovitrelle 250 and told me this was going to induce a stronger ovulation and might increase my chances of getting pregnant... It was the first time I heard about this medicine...
So now I´m supposed to BD today and tomorrow, its going to be hard, DH does not like it when its per medical order... Not sure what to do to help... I can put sexy lingerie but it seems so obvious....

Anyone knows about this medicine? I know its used in fertility treatments with ovulation induction but has mine was normal, I´m not sure which are the benefits...

Lychees sorry to hear you are having such a tough time. Can you afford to indulge a little bit e.g. treat yourself to a manicure/massage or something. That sort of thing cheers me up, at least temporarily!.

Vnewmummy good luck this month - very good to hear the clomid is working.

Well, I'm off to see my GP later to collect my test results....fingers crossed.

Keziah well done on the weight loss, keep it up girl!

baby that all sounds really positive, hopefully you'll be providing us with our BFP soon. Afraid I've not heard of your medication either.

Good luck starlet, let us know how you get on.

Advice for me please, been approx 8-9 weeks since I returned our form to Fertility clinic. This came with initial letter which stated 12 week wait list. Do you think I should phone them to see if we have an appointment yet or just wait?
